We all know where this is heading. DEA can talk tough, and maybe they'll even act tough. I feel bad for whomever has to be the test case(s); hopefully someone with the pockets to fight it. It's all heading for the court though. I believe it helps that Obama got reelected, in spite of his reversal from 2009. Wouldn't stand a chance with Romney.

colorado is full of great places... personally coming from denver i dont like to wait on i-70 to get to copper and winter park and all that.. but loveland is def a great place right before the Eisenhower tunnel that isnt a back breaker to drive to... another good hidden gem is eldora, small compared to alot of places but its pretty much a locals only mt with decent stuff to ride.. hella depends on how far u wanna drive and what terrain your looking for

I might keep my card after the law goes into effect. There are some good dispensaries, I need refills for my vape pen between now and 2014.
The red card allows you 6 plants, and only 3 mature, unless you are a caregiver. Paying a doctor more money to recommend more plants doesn't change the law.
The new law, which takes effect in 30 days, allows for 6 mature plants and all the pot you get from it. You just can't leave the house with all your pot.
recreational pot shops will not be open until January 2014.
I anticipate there will not be much difference between dispensaries and regular pot shops.

Even if the Justice Department does file suit to stop the implementation of the retail/regulation piece of the new law (and I don't think they will, it passed with a good margin), there is absolutely no regulation that says a state has to have the same laws as the fed so the LEGALIZATION of personal possession and cultivation piece will stand. As soon as Hickenlooper signs the bill (by law must be dony by Jan 2) there is no state penalty. Wow.

Over 1.28 million Coloradoans had the good sense to vote yes on 64.
I wasn't saying it changed anything, I was just countering that someone said they can grow 15 plants with a med license. That isn't true. You are only allowed 3 mature plants. (You can grow more if people name you their caregiver, up to 4 people without registering. That would allow you 15 mature plants.) The new law allows the same, but with no caregiver. That's where I was mistaken, I thought it was 6 mature plants. I grow 2 or 3 at a time, not because I respect the law, but because that works best for me.
If you have a red card, you are subject to those rules. The new law does not allow you to add more plants, it just further legitimizes what mmj people are doing.

Yea 30 days Max for the law to go into effect, and then they have to iron out all the requirements for business licensing, taxation and what not. So Jan 5 2013 at the latest everyone over 21 will be able to grow their own, but shops probably won't be able to open until 2014.
I don,t understand why Washington passed I 502. It is a piss poor law and all about Big alcohol or Pharma. No cultivation.Why would they vote yes on this unless it is a small stepping stone ? I would rather have it underground at that rate. I hope the other states who follow suite don't use I 502 as an example.
