Another “will this work” thread...

yooooooo will this work? Been growing for years but never tried training my plants as hard as this one and I snapped a large branch right off the stalk. I would say it about half of it separated from the main stalk. My question is not whether my branch will survive, but do you guys think adding clones gel at the break would help spur the healing process. I want to flip this plant ASAP, hence why I’m trying to speed up a natural process. Thanks thanks and thanks. P.S. I’ve recently read several threads of people debating about using t5s or mh for vegging and the downfalls and benefits of each. The growth under a t5 is unbeatable imo, but the main difference is the woodiness of the branches. Much woodier under an mh.

maybe cover the wound with tape, and/or smear some aloe jizz on the wound. shud heal up for ya, methinks.

I've snapped a main stem completely off almost and it recovered fine. Ended up being the biggest plant. But as far as cloning gel, nah. Let it do its thing.

As far as T5's being unbeatable, a good LED will slay a T5 for veg.

Keep it away from fans hitting it and if the leaves start to dry put a clear plastic bag over the entire branch for a few days until the branch heals enough.

I do that when I get a little carried away on LST. electrical tape, support (your string works) and good to go.

I dont think the clone gel would be the way to go but Idk. I just tape them up and support them. One time I did this and I was going to be foliar feeding kelp on my plants and I sprayed the broken area of my branch really good and it seemed to help with the healing of the break alot better than just leaving it alone with just the tape repair. Spraying silica might help to or even a silica and a kelp spray. Normally I just tape them up and leave it alone.

I agree with taping it up carefully.

Well placed tape can save a severely damaged branch or even a topped main stem that's split down the middle!
