so this is what i think, half the world can smoke sigs legal as hell but deadly as fuck and they cant quit because the say there ADDICTED!!! BULLSHIT!! its all about willpower. i cant for the life of me under stand why you can go and have a 5 min break during work to smoke a sig to fill your craving. god damb it i want to be able to take 5 min out of my work day to stop pack a fat bowl and mellow out. am i addicted to weed? my answer is this "i am just as addiceted to my smoke as you are to yours!!!" i can quit but do i want to NO i like to get high!!! and you like to smoke butts whats the differance???
you obviously haven't read anything about cigarettes. if you look at them on an addiction scale they're almost up there with heroin . . . .

just to give you some sort of clue, heroin withdrawals you're in fucking pain. literally, I don't know everything about it but it's fucking agony.

notice weed doesn't even appear on that picture? withdrawal with those drugs is seriously different than just quitting weed.

my withdrawal is similar I suppose, its basically like I consumed a ton of coffee and its hitting me hard but like I'm dragging at the same time. and I also experience sensitivity to temperature change, as well as sweats.

this only happens for the first 2 days, after that its smooth sailing.
Your starting to remind me of a lot of true things, when i think about it...there are MINOR withdrawal symptoms...Ive been smoking heavily for about 5 years..everyday, and there have been changes...but nothing dramatic, I think I have the tempature sensitivity thing, im always shivering, even if its hot but wind blows by...it doesnt have to be cold for me to feel cold, and when I dont smoke it takes a lil longer to fall asleep...but like you said...its just a minor inconvenience...its not fuckin up mine, or anyone elses life up...coffee has way worse withdrawal symptoms....if i dont have coffee in the morning, i become super depressed and feel as if everything is fucked lol weed doesnt even do that, so its worth it in the end...all the great things weed has done for me and has brought into my life extremely outweighs the few not constant negatives. so:peace:&:leaf:&keep tokin':joint:

Hmm well me and my dad both spin our pot to make it last probly never smoke it green really :(... and we both agree that pot itself isnt addictive its the tabbaco you put in it and the high it gives you. I smoke everyday(couple of days off) and have for only a short time now probly since last Aug and on any given day i swear to you if im craving a cone just give me a smoke and its all fixed. Some days i come home from tafe having a couple of smokes with mates there and dont even feel like a cone when any other day i would be packing my billy first thing through the door. (just to give me that kick to start dinner haha)

yeah, honestly, thats the biggest side affect I have had from smokin weed, the shivering or always feeling cold, and I figure its from smoking because what else could it be from...unless im anemic or something lol anyways it aint a big deal...anything you do often will have a side affect...doesnt mean its bad.

I Get The Shivers To. Quiting Weed Might Give SOME Minor Inconveniences I Dont doubt That but They Are So Minor You Almost Don't See Them. Thats What im Saying, I Wouldnt Call it An Addiction, Its Takes No Effort to Quit, Unless Your Simple Minded And Cant Take The Simple Withdraws...

I flew to Vegas this morning and forgot to bring a bit of the WW. Now i am sitting on the 33rd floor of the Encore and all i can think about is getting buzzed.

I guess I am addicted.

I'm not addicted to weed...

I think weed is addicted to me though, it keeps coming back for more burning.

Lol i for one do not believe that cannabis is addictive, it has everything to do with your personality. If i need to i can go numerous weeks without smokeing and i dont find it hard at all. Again if your an agressive person than it doesnt matter if you've recently stopped smokeing or not. I like to think that im not lol so no problem.
I used to believe so too. But after being with a habitual pot smoker for over 5 years, I know I was sadly mistaken. Now just to clear this up, I used to smoke, and still do from time to time.
My boyfriend has all of those 'symptoms' when he can't buy/find pot. He mopes around, sighing. Saying "I don't feel good" "I have bad anxiety"
Now I've never had those problems, but appearantly he does. So it's obviously possible.

Not everyone who drinks alcohol turns into an alcoholic either.

I've been smoking pot for the past 54 years ... and I can quit anytime I want to.

Vi
Amen Vi.......I smoke because I want to, it helps! But do I get the shakes when I can't?.........good God, no. For various reasons, work related or not, I've done without.........WILLINGLY, time and time again. My question is, why SHOULD I do without?
And a better question is, why do I choose this alternative method VS. chemicals? Call it a natural thing.

I'm not addicted, but I think everyone else is addicted to my smoking. 'cuz everytime I quit, they all get moody and less funny. I light up, and they are funny again.

YOU CANT GET ADDICTED FROM SMOKING WEED, look at my signature, the only reason people smoke over and over is because they
just want to get high, i used to smoke everyday for 10 years, then i just suddenly quit after i moved and couldn't find a dealer and i did
it easy, the first 3 nights i couldn't sleep good, but besides that i didin't have any problem quiting.

look buddy just because you don't get withdrawal symtoms, and the majority of people don't get withdrawal symtoms, doesn't mean they don't EXIST.

I get withdrawal symtoms, nothing that could actually stop me from quitting if I didn't have a constant supply, but enough to stop me from quitting when I have a decent supply.

the withdrawals are very real, nothing major they can range from slight twitchiness/hyperactivity, slight lack of apetite, and this general feeling kind of like a coffee buzz but you're uncomfortable.

I don't know if you've had access to enough weed to reach the point of withdrawal symtoms as I have, but they do happen with certain types of people, and I'm not going to let you just say they don't ever happen because they DO.

slight twitchiness... was their crack at any point in your weed? jk
This is strange to me because I have never herd of someone who had those symptoms, lack of appetite sure from the not getting the munchies but twitching/hyperactivity no. Maybe it depends on people i guess, but in my experience and having friends and my brother quit they did not have any trouble quiting besides the "cant sleep effect".

actually what I'm describing is pretty much a stronger form of the 'can't sleep effect'.

it's all based on hyperactivity, I think it's more of your body being used to being stoned more than anything. when you're stoned everything is slower and your body temp is hotter. so if your body is used to that it'll think everything is hyper fast and everything is too hot or too cold.

atleast that's my take on it, when I go on fat smoking binges and try to quit it happens HARDCORE. but if I slowly wean myself off of it it's pretty easy.
