No not all nutrients come in bottles.....a well balanced soil can get you through a whole grow adding only water if amended right....kelp meal, blood meal, bone meal, guanos etc.,can be used to make your own teas or amend your soil to provide everything your plants will need.....and are more affordable......just takes a little time and effort.....beware of using a lot of supplements.....most new growers tend to over dose there plants trying to achieve maximum growth and yields by throwing everything the nutrient companies come out with and I am not saying they don't work, but are not necessary and can and will cause major problems to an unexperienced grower....I would recommend growing a strain first with a simple nutrient regimen....after knowing how and what a particular strain needs and limits are you can start to add 1 supplement at a time.....that way you can see if there are any added benefits......most plants just need the minimum,,,,good environment....and the least human interaction as possible to grow vigorously and produce quality meds.....
God damit ! you beat me to it now I have to erase my post because yours is way more thorough.

How do you feel about compost tea ?? I wanted to tell Phil that at Sea of Green's Phx store they sale that shit themselves they brew it right in the store in front of your eyes in a cement mixer looking thing. I have yet to grow a soil grow just trying to help our boy Phil out get him off to a good start.

Holy shit .... so i JUST realized that "teas" are just basically homemade DIY versions of the Fox farms line...or sort of right?

I have used some blood meal before, and it smelled just like a rotted body.... not pleasant...

how ever i like the fact that its DIY and VERY cheap.. Is it as effective once i got good at tea making??? and is it possible to make a tea for anything id need?

For my first time growing in soil, or for that matter growing at all, this is so much to take in! Haha.. Can someone make me feel better and tell me this is too complicated for me at this current moment so I can use the roots buddha grow&bloom and calmag and not feel like I am horrible :)

Im really going to check that out. Its always good to see someone growing in soil like I will be. Was the Ph problem because of all the nutes or something else?

do not worry. it seems like alot right now but you will take this all in eventually and you will hopefully use a bit. above all dont listen to what some smart alec asshole like myself has to say about your nutrient regimen. all i am sharing with you is my experienc and what works for me. this is a very simple plant and it can be very simple to grow and there are more styles of grow than there are growers. find what works for you and what will bring you the most success with what you have. if your plants are green and healthy then you really have nothing to worry about. once you are more familiar with the plant and its developmental stages you will find methods that work for you to refine the process and improve on quality and quantity. no one will tell you better if you are doing a good job than the plants.

your grow is looking cool, but one piece of advice--your puppy i hella cute(i have 4 pit bulls), but don't let him near the plants or even in the same room. now that your flowering there starting to get sticky an will catch pet hairs very easily...

Ha ha ...happens to me all the time....

Sort of....but a lot cheaper.....and yes some of the stuff smells....but it is well worth it.........plus the added benefits of fresh brewed tea = more microbial life....there are teas for veg and teas for flower.....

a couple of simple teas.....per 5 gallon brewed for about 24 hours in a room 70-80 degrees f....these are another persons recipe but a little modified by me.....there are a lot of other ways to make teas this is just how I make mine...

1/3 cup Peruvian Seabird Guano
1/3 cup High N Bat Guano (Mexican)
1/3 cup Earth Worm Castings (EWC)
5 tsp. Neptunes harvest seaweed plant food
5 tbs. Black Strap Molasses

Flowering nute tea mix:
2/3 cup Peruvian Seabird Guano
2/3 cup Earth Worm Castings
2/3 cup High P Guano (Indonesian or Jamaican)
5 tbs. Neptunes harvest seaweed plant food
5 tbs. Black Strap Molasses

Brewing teas are easier then everyone thinks. Like somebody said in an earlier post it is a lot more time consuming. I personally do a mixture of everything. Brew some teas, mix solubles in soil and top feed with supplements and bottled nutrients. The bottled nutrient I have come to love is iguana juice ( pretty price but worth it for convinence reasons). When brewing teas I recommend to let them brew for at least 24 hours in a cool room. Mixing solubles is as easy as sprinkling and mixing ha ha. One tip though is when mixing solubles, if you let them cook in trash bins or rubber made totes out side or in a cool room, your microbial life will be greatly increased. IMHO microbes is the MOST beneficial thing to have in a 100% organic garden.

SAme here. use a little bit of all......I forgot to add brewing time in the recipe above...I do about 24 hours as well.....in a room that is 70-80 degrees f. I will have to edit....
