hey guys, just wondering, i live in newcastle NSW, has the outdoor season started, and if so how long has it been on? and possibly how long veg time would i get if i planted outside right now

well based on what i heard earlier fathers day = start of grow season.
So if you were to plant today that gives about 3 months doesnt it? (now till december-January)
Just look at when the daylight hours reduce significantly as that will be start of flower time.

You about an hour from me mid september is a good time to put them out the dalight hours hit about 12 and steadily increase till just after chrissy when you should start budding, you can however put plant out a week or two earlier any earlier through and they will start budding and hit the 4 week mark which means they may well not reveg also you can grow all through winter the plants don't get huge but with a week or two of veg and the 8-12 weeks of flower you'll pull an O or two, the winter nights don't get cold enough unless you get frost that'll be your only issue. So what I'm saying is that from september-december your plants will not flower and this is the only period you will not be able to harvest bud (excluding autoflowers) which is great for a perpetual grow without the needs for low yielding expensive auto's.
Don't repeat this in the main forums though some yank will tear your head off telling you your talking shit even though he has no idea your in the southern hemisphere.
hahaha same reason i stick to mainly this thread. Everytime i post outside i get replies telling me to go to kmart or walmart or some other yank place. Don't think they understand there are other countries on this planet
If your worries about frosts just stick any seedlings under fluro. I heard they GREAT for the initial seedling phase as they chew shit all juice and pretty much impossible to burn your delicate seedling.

Mate the issues I've had with yanks, fuck I've had them telling me it was winter not summer even after I told them I was in a different hemisphere they just have no idea it's so shocking.

im such a dumb shit .. i put up steel to scrog thru and relized later how the fuck am i going to be able to change my res water, if i lift up my lid my plants just get pushed into the mesh , anyone got any ideas lol ? i mite just take it down.
