Aussie Growers Thread

woo a few of my clones rooted awesome im stoked.

also where do you get the adapters for those screw in fluro's

like the bit that you screw them into

i found the paper towel method worked really well itself, but the transplant doesn't always go perfectly. but yeah warmth wet and darkness and it'll germ if it's any good lol i'm going with rockwool for now

nobody got an opinion on nicks mix then?

leave the nelsons alone they are shit
use the 28w phillips twist they crank light (im using them atm)
the nelsons are good for cloning but shit for growing

The nelsons are not shit and their lumens are not bad for a 48W globe. As I said though, the 28W globes have a higher lumens:watt ratio

I prefer the idea of them for scrog; a long flat edge emitting even light over a bigger area compared to spiral cfls, though probably not as intense.

Also im with ninja in relation to germing. I have just soaked rockwool and dropped the bad girls in. I think also about 90% +++.

Cheers, oh n i 4got to mention, i also have a heat pad n a humidity dome that i throw em under until they break soil, then straight under the old 135W CFL :peace:

Get em nice n close, n u can get some 135W CFL from most hydro stores. Dont pay over $60 for 1. They work a treat, only problem is u need a lamp holder to plug em in2, then an overseas power point adapter bcos the lamp holder has that round plug on it.. But the shop should know this and have everything u need.
They come in Veg, Bloom & Ultra Blue.

you can buy thel little plastic globe screw ins at bunnings and wire them up yourself too, it's cheap. mind you raiding op shops of any lamps is also a good idea, nearly just as cheap without needing a knowledge of wiring lights.

i'm gonna go check the girls and see how the germing is coming, just got home from work and haven't seen em for 24 hours, cross yer fingers lads lol

hey ninja expect one back in the next day or so....;-)................ I'm happy to say that I'm full steam ahead for the summer out door season.....and theres a chance we wont need to plant the hermies out ....which would give me more peace of mind about it :peace:

hey all,

i found after trying near every god dam way to germ beans, i found that putting them in a cup/glass of water for 24hrs thn move to paper towel (damp) on a heat pad on low for 24hrs. Once the tap root has emerged and is a few mm long i plant the tip pointing up just under the coco surface. If the tap root get really long (5mm) i point tap root down when planting. This has given me best success. Seeds are so touchy, they can be killed so so easily. Old seeds over a few months will do well from a small scratch or nick with a sharp blade do not damage seed only GENTLY Scarify!!!
kmoo did u manage to swing by the po ?
hope all is well. I want a report. lol

catch ya Madazz:weed:
