Plus you can cool more tents of one small air con by doing it this way.... The more tents u need to cool make the box bigger
lol humidity isnt relative to heat at all. where i am it can be 20c and still be 85% but air cons do dry out the air, thats why when u stick the aircon on in your car it de mists the windscreen so quick.320 bucks for a portable one thru bunnings... Make a 1x1x1 box of ply. Insulate it ... Put the air con inside the box Put ya ports off the ply and suck the air into your tent... If your ac is cooling the tent properly there is really no need for dehumidifiers as it is humidity is relative to the temp.... But i still run dehumidifers even tho with out having them in there i have 60 % humidity
actually humidity is extremely relevant to heat, i done alot of research here, and meaning, the more heat you have, the more humidity, as you will have more transpiration from the leaves. just because you can have 85% humidity with low heat, just indicates a confined space, with not enough circulation of fresh air.lol humidity isnt relative to heat at all. where i am it can be 20c and still be 85% but air cons do dry out the air, thats why when u stick the aircon on in your car it de mists the windscreen so quick.

trust me , i done extensive research on this, and humidity will only play a vital role in hight temperature rooms when lights go out and there's not enough circulation to evaporate the transpiration process, thus creating an extreme high humidity environment. u need to get fresh air in, even if it's from an evap cooler. the amount of water evaporation is fairly minimal with a evap cooler, aslong as you keep the ice up, and the cooler out of the tent in the ambient air. not in the tent.
an ac will dry the air out because its simply dry air, and u are pushing the dense 'wet' air out. but an ac will kill co2 levels, so you have to include fresh air from somewhere.
hope this helps.
