Hopefully can sex them in veg, not always possible though.

Like Reza said, you can take clones, put the donor plants in flower and chuck any corresponding clones that were taken from the males. Best option if you have a veg and flower room. From there you can also select the keeper/s based on the flowered donor, how they took to clone, no hermies etc. Or do the reverse if you want to keep the “seed” Mum.

Another option is to put all into flower, chuck the males if not wanted and monster crop the females at around week 3.

Or simply do it the way you did, which is what I do during a last run of a strain as I’m limited to a veg/ clone tent within my main room. Switch, sex, back to veg. I try to time it so I’ve got a batch of female clones ready to go out once the clean down and reset is finished, with enough to go back in as donors. From there select pheno/s from that run.

Yeah im aware of all those methods was just the way i did it i didnt leave enough time to take clones i had to pick the plants i was going to put into the flower room at the time, and i was hoping they wouldve just shown their sex in the veg room before that but werent old enough so i just wacked them in the flower room 3-4 days until they showed sex thinking it wouldnt fuck up their hormones too much but it did  i was hoping someone on here mightve had a trick to avoid all those but is what it is. Thanks for your help brother

Would you take a cut from each fem seed an track the seed plant to find the best pheno then run that cut clone (mutliple clones from that first cut) on the next run?
Thats how i do it.. also i run each pheno 2-3 times before making a selection to ensure they get a proper chance (they may do better in winter or summer) but sometimes some things dont make the cut straight away

How many runs before you are runnin the one pheno from origanal fem seed would it normally take you.
An how would you keep the cuts from each fem plant under control in veg stage while your flowerin out the original fems.
2 months of veggin clones under decent lights while you wait for the mothers to finish would end up with fair sized plants? unless your constantly cuttin an training them?
Yeah can just chop the bitches in half if they getting too big or just take anotger clone and start the mother plant again, or chuck em under a weaker light that they dont grow too fast under, hold off on transplanting to bigger pots.. theres many tools you can use to slow em down.. dw about the whole genetic drift thing where people think the genetics get worse with every clone of a clone it takes wayyy to long ro affect a small time grower

it’ll be on the 2nd run after the initial seed run.

Yep, that’s a pain sometimes. I’ll drop back to 4 donors of a single pheno and top and mainline to keep them short, slow em down and give me enough sites to take clones from.
If I’ve got 9 in then I’ll top a few times. I’ll keep EC as low as I can too, and light as close as I can throughout to keep internode spacing short.
I’m only using a single HLG 135W 4K light in the tent.
It sure gets packed in there. Wish I had either space for a bigger tent or another room I could use.

I’m of the same thought on the whole genetic drift thing. Same with using fem seeds. Keep them healthy and I guess not running over 12 months on a strain I’ve not encountered it.
I’ve even gifted last run clones that I know have gone another 12 months no issues.

Ive ran my blue dream pheno non stop for about 2 years now and it only getting better as i dial it in more and more every time... i want to replace her but shes close to my heart now  but yeah i dont think you can really see much genetic drift unles we talking a long long time and then how much drift are you even gonna see 1% less thc and half an oz less per plant or what?

Worst I had was a blueberry that after about 2 years got really hard to clone. But that had a few stress moments in its life also.

My daughter loves Billy. I call her Billy Eyelash to stir her up.
Saw her on the carpool karaoke, very talented and down to earth.
I’m already predicting she’s having trouble with the fame, with hours, with the want. I predicted it from linkin parks very first album and it pains me much to say I knew it and I was right. I can only hope I may be wrong this time but something tells me she’s flailing
