Fungus gnats are getting bad, beware peeps keep up the neem soil drenches. I'm sure I just bought a bunch of aphids in some seed mix.. There having a bad time with them in the US I think they are becoming super bugs over there.

I just planted a bean from plant to soil, off my SLH she's got quiet a few beans on her.

Hey Guys, How goes it??? I've been experimenting with trying to germ beans..
First in Rockwool under my standard fluoro, 1 out of 2 worked so I chucked them.
Now trying between damp paper towel in Ziplock bag in a tupperware container in dark warm space.. It's now been 24 hours, checked em and I think they may have just cracked..
Not sure so I put them back in and I'll check tonight..
Should i just put them in soil, water and put under my 600W HPS..????
I've only ever used clones, so these beans are very new for me...

P.S I just got 2 x 20W (5000K) CFL's to use on this experiment if they pop lil tails out...

um dude most beans straight under a 600w hps will fry!! you wanna get em up big enough so they can handle the heat! my plushies i stuck those under about 7 days and wow i shit! leaves curling and shit! but yeh was just the lings adjusting to the heat..
i chuck em in party cups first work my way up!.. and always start off far-away from the lamp!

Cheers that's what i was thinking.. If i used the 600 I'd have it up way high.. was just thinking though that the heat and light might help..
I'll try the 2 x CFL's first and give ya's an update...

yeh im growing under a 60w downlight globe to add heat and a cfl for light! but yeh they're growing just as quick as a m/h hps! wouldnt be as stocky tho!
