Auto-flower solo cup contest entries -- post your picture and update here

i dont see how its possible to get a 3 and a half foot tall plant out of a solo cup without some sort of gimmik

You must be talking about my auto's mrblu. Actually, my indoor is 39" tall from the base to the top. My outdoor is 23" tall and bushy as hell. I re-measured after I saw the post from mrblu to make sure. I really don't want to put any pics up untill they are done (2-3 weeks), but I will if its requested. Perhaps I'll be kicked off the contest because my indoor auto roots are growing out of the solo cup as of today (lol). I did let ak know what I am doing and never heard anything contrary, so I assumed that I am ok. If not, I'm sure ak will let me know. I have put plenty of pictures up on my other grows here indoor and outdoor. I also have other outdoor girls that are over 9' tall and I have put some of those up her on RIU. The girls in my flower tent are right at 5' tall. I hope eveyone is doing great and your grows are reaching for the sky! Peace

im not saying it's not possible i have faith in auto's
but im sure that a pic of you holding the plant would settle any uncertainties
i super cropped the one i had going twice and it was still over 2'
but it just falls back on the pics or it didnt happen argument
maybe some of us just want to see some auto porn

Hey everyone. Had a dang post wrote up and it wouldn't load and I ended up loosing it!! Ughhh..

Anyways, thought I would update the auto contest..

Here is my AK-49(auto) she is indoors as the one know that's been following her.

I have to say she sure is picking up in growth (size) and her trich production! Its not the size that matters, its how potent that shiznit is! Haha..

The mix I'm dosing her with has really been helping a lot with the results I was looking 4. I love my special sauce!!

did you keep pulling up the plant adding dirt to the bottom or did you cut out the bottom of the cup and let it sit in more dirt? also per contest rules you have to show seedlign pics veg pics flower pics etc

Who are you asking this ?: Me ?: My 16 ounce cup has a bottom. And I've shown growth all through her life cycle. Over in the other thread. And I do however have drain holes poked in the bottom. But that isn't against the rules. And pull up and add dirt ?: don't recall that. Don't think that's is either.

Bro, I don't know what your problem is. It is a contest, A "Friendly Contest" at that.......

No need to get all bent out of shape because someone's plant is bigger than yours.

I had the smallest plant here with the smallest yield. You don't see me complaining about someone elses shit.

Like, I could say, There ARE PEOPLE WHO USED LARGER THAN 16oz CUPS!. Look at the pictures and you will clearly see, 18oz square bottom solo cups WERE USED.....

Meaning I guess he thought I am competition, which is why he is asking me all them questions, and telling me that the "rules" say you have to post pictures of the entire grow..

AK says only 3 Pictures total are required for this contest.

ONE at seedling ONE in preflower/veg and ONE near the end. that is all the judges need to figure out their choices.

You do NOT need to take pics of the entire grow and post them.

anyways, thought I would show everyone her getting some LED today. Which if you've been following her, I said I would be using a 600 watt HPS system, and also a 800 LED. Which is what she has been getting, a mix of the spectrums.

So let's put our on and take a look..

na he was talking to bird dog i believe ..... concerning the rule about roots in the cup

a simple fix to eliminate any concern is snap a pic of the plant in the cup before finish

i wasnt talking to you dank, i just forget alot of people are runnin more sativas and stretchy plants at times. i usually run all indicas so i forget theres sativas and stuff out there.

and yeh when the guy said he had roots growing out of his cup it just sounded odd to me. maybe its because im a noob but i dont see how roots would want to push into light without something being added to it or something because roots usually dont try to push into light.

roots grow out the bottom of any container that the plant is rootbound in.
I've had roots growing out the bottom of 3.9gallon containers and 7 gallon as well...

It's not that they are pushing into the light.
They are literally crammed with nowhere to go but down..
If the saucer below the cup stays moist, they will start to trail out of the cup, once they dry up, they die.

Does that explain it for you?

He doesn't have something below it for the roots to establish any type of extra support or growth.
