i have been following everyones grow ive kept up with pretty much every post on both threads


and i asked as a judge to see a pic of the cup to CLARIFY the situation

yeah all roots must be contained within the cup according to the rules. im sorry i got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning but that was the only reason i brought this up in the first place. if you truely got a plant that big out of a solo cup props to you. it looks about like the size of my plants in 3g pots.

No matter what is done, roots will continue to try to grow out the bottom of ANY CONTAINER THE PLANT IS ROOTBOUND IN.

I think this is the 3rd time I've had to say this. If you are telling me your plant did NOT do so, AT ALL(btw it probably did) they you need better genetics.

And again sir. You didn't ask questions to begin with, You bitched and whined about someone's thought. Was no picture to look at, and you started in on him saying it's not possible unless he's cheating,. blah blah blah. I read your comments.

If you go back and read the rules. Nothing was ever said about altering the rootball. Just the cup, so roots can't grow into another container.

Also, You are sitting here arguing with a guy, or ABOUT a guy, who is no longer even in the contest. HE WITHDREW FROM THE CONTEST because of your past comments.

Please take all the bullshit to another thread. the judges do not need to read this while judging. They get their say. You can't influence their judgement.

you seem to have a problem with me? since when did it say you could have root masses growing out of the bottom of the cup? im just clearly stating the rules stew. you can kick me out or do whatever you want but the point of the matter is he said he cut off so many roots coming out of the bottom of the cup that the plant would die. he had a "mass" not just a couple. let me see your plants with roots hanging out so bad that if you pruned them your plant would die coming out of the bottom of a container.

and hers the rules.


  • 6. 1 solo cup per plant...The roots must be contained within the cup( I.e. No letting rootsgrow from cup to another medium of any sort). Any medium or methods are allowed. every contestant may have 2 entries. so if they want to enter in the outdoor category and the indoor category that would be OK. you can start multiple cups i dont care but by august 4th or so you must choose ONLY 2 to enter and mark them accordingly clearly so we can see. ​




where is the part that says you can let your roots continue to grow out of the cup? it says CONTAINED my friend

and last time i checked whatever a root is growing is in a medium. if not net cups could continue to grow into air as long as they stayed wet enough. so they where probably hanging out way down in the box in the dark. so kick me out but im calling BS on his plant even if he remove it from the competition.

DO NOT CALL IT A COMPETITION IF YOUR NOT GOING TO USE THE RULES. Lets call it hey lets grow plants in solo cups and post pictures.

i know people are not going to vote for me now but id rather stand up for my principals than to let people walk all over me because they feel they are authority and can swing it around and do what they want.

ps. you guys talk on this thread just as much as anyone else...also i take things seriously when i put time and money into them even if it is for fun. thats like saying its just a game but when it takes up resources and work at it it means more to some people.

That big part alone tells me I could have cut my rootball in half multiple times throughout the grow. As long as they stayed contained within the cup afterwards.

Wow...I just got on a bit ago and thought it would be all good reading and new grow pictures. Instead, I read where MRBLU is at it again with others. DUDE...get off the root syndrome! I did not use your name in my posts, but you have now made your name obvious. Thanks for trying to set him straight stew, but its all good. Don't let someone (mrblu in this case) get you into a frazzle. I don't want ANY of us to argue and not get along. Are we not adults here? Mrblu...I'm sure you are a cool person and you probably have experience in growing to share here, as well. That's what you need to do friend. I (and I'm sure everyone else here) wants to be your friend. As I indicated, I am out of the contest now so that part should be over with. If I were you, I would appoligize to the forum, as well as the contest owner and participants (like stew and I) . You are a big person, so show it now before ak or someone else kicks you out!

So who all is left? Contest is over in about 2 weeks. Sorry about the lack of updates, got busy. Buuttt. I got a bunches of new lights and shit ton of seeds so im happy happy and about to be a busy grower

Definitely learned a thing or two out of this contest so it was totally worth it for me. Props and thanks to everyone involved!!

I know I said I would post 1 more time adding the end product weight, but I guess I fibbed alittle.. lol. :mrgreen: I figured I would show the finshed product after she's been drying for 1 day now. Going to wait till she is dry to touch, and go ahead and pop her in the masons. I took a small popcorn nug and gave it a test. Its super good, has a nice high, no crash & burn after toking up. Her tatse I would have to say is more of a spicey lemony/candy tatse. She still has just alittle taste of chlorophyll. Which with a good cure will leave out of the buds. :mrgreen:

I will be cutting the buds from the stems this eve, I will go ahead and weigh her (just to get a round about end weight) on her.

Looks like your going to have a couple ounces of that dried bud dank. Good job there and well documented. That auto of mine that you thought would be 3-4 ounces dried out to 5.6 ounces. I'm still letting my other auto finish out in the flower tent with the other girls. I'll post some pictures on my thread (and yours if you like) as she gets closer. Peace bro...

um....helo everyone, i am VERRY sorry i havent been around in the past few weeks, unfrotunatley i had a death in the close immediate family which required me to leave town for about 2 weeks, i literally just walked thru the door a few hours ago...sonmenoe said in a pm thjat someoen is accusign ppl of cheating? im not sure whats going on here but rest assured i will get to the bottom of it and if anyone is really doing something wrong action will be taken, if not please dont toss around false and uintrue accusations of ppl cheating unless u have very good proof or are 100 percent,otherwise its very rude...

thank you friend, i appreciate the condolences everyone, i will do some investigating and try to get to the bottom of this one way or another, i hope everyone is doing well otherwise
