Autoflower AK47 -- 1st Grow by myself

Depending on your soil, even once a day is probably too much. The soil should dry out such that the whole pot feels much lighter. Your pots are a bit small so it may be tricky to try this without risking digging up your roots, but a usual test is to stick your finger below the topsoil and see if it's still moist - if it is then you don't need to water yet.

Another way to test is just to let it go without water until you start to see the leaves just start to wilt a little bit - figure out how many days have passed and then maybe subtract one to get your watering schedule. As the plant grows, mind you, it will drink up the water faster. If you find you need to water every day then it's probably time to put them into a bigger pot.

Well its got a mix of seed starting mix, which is very light...i didnt water yesterday and watered today and the plants look good. They are definetely not as big as yours were at the same day but hopefully wont be too bad. Should I switch them when they start flowering or should i do it now? By the way, the soil isnt necessarily moist but it sticks together, like clumps. Does this mean they dont need it? I have watered when they were clumpy so maybe thats why they arent growing the fastest.

It depends what you mean, but your soil shouldn't be too clumpy. If it's too fine and muddy when it's wet then it can clump together and it suffocates the plant. The soil needs either some light, rough compost, some perlite, or some vermiculite, or some of all of them. They help the soil to retain a good balance of moisture and air - roots feed the plant water and nutes, but they also absorb gases like oxygen. They need a bit of room to breathe under there. If the soil wasn't broken up and sifted (eg:just dumped from the bag) then it can also take the roots a bit of work to mulch their way around. Sounds like they've finally taken root, though - that first growth spurt is always encouraging  Can't wait to see some new pics, man!

It could be a fabulous plant, but somehow that comment just sounds like spam. Have you bought these seeds and grown them, or are you the guy who is selling them?

very nice plant not bad for a LR cross the best outside autoflowering plant has to be SUPER-LIME tho check this out for more info it re-gens as well people LINK- Home

Having had time to explore this further, I call 100% bullshit - get this shit off of this site. Breeding lowryder crosses for ten years? It was invented in f**king 2006! Look :

Google Trends: lowryder

Take your crap bagseed and sell it somewhere else, man. Stop spamming grow journals with this garbage.

Get the hell out of my grow journal...Anyways, I cant remember the mix, it was on sale at a store but it seems like some decent stuff...it had vermiculite, perlite, couple other things. I'll post some pics soon, thanks

The Jiffy stuff tends to clump up, its rough on the root system, suffocates it. But is sounds like your mix has better drainage.

try biobizz allmix soil, im havin great results with it, it has nutes blended in for the veg and early flowering stage, you dont need to start adding nutes till mid flowering. quite cheap aswell i think it was £12 for 25 litres or something.:blsmoke:

Thanks for the help. The plants are around day 15 and still have not showed sex but they are getting bigger. I'll post some pics soon.

my auto aks started showing sex around day 16-17, once they do they will enter what seems a rapid growth stage and will just keep branching out and bushing up. u got plenty of time yet for them to fill out they probably pick up soon. when u going to post some pics:peace:

I was gonna say, they are about 17 full days old but they still arent showing sex yet. I was a little worried that they weren't going to be that big but I noticed rapid growth in the last few days as they are growing taller but mostly bushier. Some of them seem to grow a little crooked but I got some pics up here, tell me what you think guys! By the way, i still haven't been able to give them the 1000 Watter because they've sent me 2 lights that do not work, so hopefully I'll get it tomorrow and they can take off from there. :blsmoke:

Im also growing lowryder ak47 AF's and am watching this post with interest.
Mine arent as big as yours yet though, they are in coco with 20/4 with 2 250watt dual cfl's..

Nice, good luck with the grow man. I'm hoping mine get bigger now that I got another HPS light and im hoping it will finally work.

cornz check out my grow jornal, im growing aks under one 250w enviro, used blue to veg and red to flower. the links at the bottom of my post.:peace::joint:

plants are looking healthy, nice and green. your soil looks a bit clumpy, like your over watering or something. i reckon they will start to shoot up soon, once flowering sets in.

looking good - nice and green! A bit small for 17 days, but they probably just took a while to take root. They'll be like wildfire from here on, I think. Those pots look like pails with the handles off so they probably didn't come with drain holes - if you haven't already(didn't notice if you'd said), I'd punch a few into the bottom so the water can drain. Keep at it, man - fourty days and fourty nights to luscious bud =D

The soil is a bit clumpy but I think thats because of the molasses I add in with the water...also, yes I did cut holes on the bottom of the pots already. Couple questions, any tips on why my 1000 Watt lights don't work? The company that I've gotten the whole system from have given me 3 lights and they all don't work. I definitely haven't been watering as much and they seem to do well. Also, will the plants grow taller than what they are now? Thanks guys
