Hey all. this is my first auto grow of EasyRyder. im at day 80 week 11 and i thought it would of been done last week but she start triplin her calyxes and throwin out more flowers. T he crystals are still clear. so I know she not ready for me yet. but yellowing a lot i know that she is using up the energy from the leaves and some of the calyxes are also yellowing a bit. Im wondering for who else that grew ER if they had the same thing and if the time is the same She is in a gallon pot a lil bigger than a gallon. and Im using cfl's..How long does it take for the crystals to turn color? I have no problem waiting for her to finish I was just wondering as I passed the so called seed to harvest as stated. and for how long can I give her molasses...? this is the only nutrient i have used through flowering...Here are some pics tell me what ya think......

hows the smell factor on the ak47 autos?
im trying to get something not to stinnky and was totaly sold on the ak's but i know ak is some dank ass stuff...
any suggestions??

oh btw im about to be growing under a 400 w hps/mh in a 3x3x6.5 stand up shower =p
hows many plants do you think i should have in here.

i'm just finishin almost exact same situation.i'm usin a 2'x3'x5' tent & the system i got was pretty cheap, (like $100), and fits perfectly in there. Did bout half ak's & the other white russians, both from lowlife. i'm in late bloom, round day 66 & def. smell of vegetation, but not too stinky yet. Once you get in closet, its a little different story.

I guess i was expectin 'em to be stankier, but they really aren't bad unless u are within a few feet. Course, i am runnin 20/4 w/ a very diesel 400c+fm can fan blowin exhaust far away. Not the hugest, but for the space, its exchangin the air out completely twice per minute. So not sure how much to attribute to that. And it does get stankier w/fan off obv. but before it gets too bad, i got the light & fan goin again. But i say you be just fine. I was really pleased w/ the ak's. They def. outperformed the white russians all the way around.

there are some pics a few pages back, prob. throw up some more in a day or 2.

Although i crammed a bunch together, and that looks like a lone beauty that had plenty of space to roam. The symmetry on that jewel is wicked...

KB, ur shit looks bangin as well. Prob. throw a pic up in a day or 2 of my girls to see what think 4 chop. Also, whats the longest you've heard of an auto goin to fully ripen? Are there some that maybe make it to 80?

ways to tell are brown hairs, receded hairs, cloudy or amber trichs and the buds are good and dense and if you look in your pics the trichs aren't really cloudy some people have diff ways but most is the trichs

She is 14.5'' tall bout 24''x17'' wide... yeah she is all by herself I had bad luck on 1 roadrunner seed that was cracked on arrival and 3 white russians the didnt pop...well one did in the paper towel but never lasted in soil...she wanted me all to herself...I think I have at least another week for sure dont know after that....

Hey 150, thanks for the kind words man! Im glad my threads have been of some help to you. I had 8 Diesel Ryders in the mini fridge after pulling males. I was hoping for 9, and could have done 12. With 8, I never had to rotate them to get optimal light. With 9 or more in 2L bottles, I would have needed to rotate them daily to keep a good amount of light on every plant. There was one "dead spot" where not much light got to on the back side of the bulb, as well as the 2 corners on that side. Heres a shot a couple weeks before harvest. With the 8 in there its pretty crammed, but there is a lot of room on the back wall you cant see in the pic.

People say you get more per plant if you space them out, like 1 square foot each. but my theory was that it doesnt matter if you get a little less per plant when you can cram 2-3 times the amount of plants in there. 6 plants with an avg yield of 18g dry, or 12 plants with an avg yield of 14g dry....hmmm let me think With the 8 I grew, my lowest yield was 12g and the highest was 20g. I think I could have used 3L bottles, grew 9 females and got almost an ounce dry per plant. Too bad those Diesel Ryders stink so bad I cant grow them again haha!!

So Id say under a 150, anywhere from 3 to 12 is doable depending on your grow style. For scrog, I would just use 2 MAYBE 3, for SOG I would use a MINIMUM of 6, up to 12. If you have really expensive fem seeds, stick with 6-8 so you get all you can out of them. Oh and keep a fan on the bulb at all times so you can keep it close as possible. I got a bit cocky with my SOG and put it about 1" over the canopy for a few days, that fried a few leaves but 2-4" is completely doable with good air circulation and no cool tube.

onyx and Mi5 are supposed to be taller trains so im going to grow them together

and the himalayan blue diesel and russian rocket fuel are supposed to top out at about 16" so im going to grow them together

any suggestions on which ones i do first?

I got it backwards with the bulbs, sorry. It's metal halide for veg. and HPS for flowering. But really check out that link and just read about the bulb and let me know what you think. Remember, all I use is fluorescent. But I won't write about something that I can't back up. And I've been thinking about HID for a while myself. Hit me back dude. Later

I'm pretty sure they make a HPS bulb in both color spectrums.

The reason being, that the first HID i bought was a conversion & came with both hps & halide bulb.

However, that hps bulb emits virtually the EXACT same color light from outside (main system is inside a tent). Anyway, the color was exactly the same & not red @ all.

Which i thought to be really strange, as well as a few folks I consulted that had hps bulbs w/ blue spectrums & theirs still had a reddish tint to them.

I bought another hps, and that bulb was totally red too.

Bottom line, i've seen & used x3 different types of hps bulbs & they were all red.

Save the first bulb i got w/ the 1st light which as ZERO red in it @ all.

Whatcha think??

It's supposed to be like that to veg, and then halide for bloom, huh?

Yeah dude, total noob here.

But evthing I've heard from my mentor here & ALL other sources of research said to save foliar feeding (spraying leaves) for vegetative growth only.

Otherwise if you spray ur flowers you are increasing your risk for mold by many fold (could throw a number out, but i'd be totally talkin out my ass).

Yeah, the dude hookin up most my "tech support" / advice never feeds foliage.

I am finishin up my first grow, which (knock on wood) had gone better than I expected & I did not do ANY foliar feeding. Granted these are hydro applications where their roots are completely saturated for about 50% out of the day (30 mins out of every hour).

Could be totally different for soil grows. Just realized that. So I'm gonna sit the next few plays out & see if some of these soil fellas can hook ya up.

yea, if you spray your flowering plant and it has some decent buds if they don't dry good you will get bud rot and it's not something you want lol

Gonna warn ya, I am NO PHOTOG, my girls are also in a tent & its useless to try w/ the hps on.

And of course w/ hps off, I can't get nearly the close ups you were able to get.

Those are some impressive photo skils on the close ups there too.

so has anyone ever tried to cross ruderalis indica? i just bought 2 of them and if possible id like to cross one. im really gladd u made this thread kb i have been looking for something like this for a long time. So anyways i want to cross my ruderalis indica with any one of the other 5 strains i bought. i have 2 of all of these strains...white widow, the church, big bang, purple widow, and mandala #1. tell em whatchya guys think. i know to capture the autflowering ability you need to cross and backcross like 10 times or somethin like this.. any help at all would be much appreciated . thanks in advanced guys

Foe show, ona gel is the shiz. I totally forgot to mention that. Whenever things get a little too gamey, I just pop open the lid on the ona (20 beans from htg), and that shit is neutralized immediately.

I'm usin technaflora's recipe for success, and I have to say that I am dam please.

Granted I have nothing to compare to, but those kits are the shit.

They are like $30/ per kit, but well worth it. I needed a total of x2 kits to finish up autos, but you have lots of supplemental nutes left over.

Little spenny, but I'm gonna stick with 'em. Actually just picked up another kit today for my reg. photo period girls.

After this last run (i literally have tried x5 diff banks since Nov. 09).

I will use the tude, and nothin but the tude.

They really cater to us pesky americans I believe.

Just get 'em in the original breeder packs.

Yeah, i'm sure there are plenty others that are descent.

But from these test runs (i actually ended up geting x2 separate shipments from the tude), and packages were here in 8 days on first order. And 9 on the second.

Their site, the security on it, gettin trackin # within a day (albeit they don't help much cause the postal services are slack), but hands down they got me coming back.

You still haven't seen anything from Jim?
