AW's Grow

Bombs Away!! I dropped the next generation. I now have 1 Delicious Seeds Sugar Black Rose, and two what I think are The Church, soaking in water for 24hrs. I need to have a cyclic operation going. The Wife and I smoke a lot of doobs, if we have it, we will smoke 1.25-1.5 oz a week. I hope that I am starting these far enough out that I will be able to try my hand at cloning. I will need a couple of space-filler-outer plants. Anyone recommend a good rooting hormone?

I'll bet it's really tough keeping your hands off them sexy bitches, I know you want a little taste. How much longer until you harvest the 60 day wonder?
And how is the smell? Did you ever invest in a carbon scrubber? Or you still using the Ona?

Btw, I harvested both churches last week. Friggin incredible smoke! Great taste, great high. I'll be germinating some beans in a week or two...

Yeah, I was wondering when you would be pulling yours down. I am still using the Ona. Works great. I just dropped my LAST 3 beans last night! I gotta get an order together. I am deffo gettin me some of that G-13 Haze, shit is incredible. I am still trying to get my hands on an old refrigerator, I need a veg chamber. I figure I will start to harvest sometime mid December. I have already partially harvested the 60DW. Taking a mature lower bud here and there. I have dried prolly a .5zip. The remainder of the plant will prolly come down in the next 4-5 days.

Why use a refrigerator? Just order another tent like you have now. That way you've got two, and you don't have to mess with a heavy refrigerator, cutting vent holes, putting Mylar in there etcetera.....
I've still got some beans left over from our last order. I have a few churches, white rhino, and something else but can't remember the strain right now.
I'm waiting to germ them until I remodel the rabbit hole. Got BIG plans for it.

I have a hard-on to get a refrigerator and make a veg/mother chamber out of it. I want to wire in a new thermostat into the fridge and have a self contained/cooled closet. Airtight, cheap, securable, self-cooling. I've wasted 40 bucks on dumber shit. I am going to put that 400MH in it. Whatchyoo got in mind for yer' rabbit hole?
 
Update: Today, I found two out of three seeds had sprouted. I label and transfer them into 16oz cups, ect. The third seed, upon closer inspection is actually a black coated seed. GHS White Rhino. So now I at least have three separate strains for the next crop...... if it will germ.
 
Well, my first trip to Amsterdam, I bought GHS. I loved 'em. I would say that I run a 90% germination rate. And up until this grow, the femenized have always been female! Thus far I have grown AMS, Arjans Strawberry Haze, Arjans Haze #1, Hawaiian Snow, Srawberry Cough, White Rhino, Lemon Skunk, Great White Shark, and the Church. Their strains seem to be hardy and potent. I have never really gotten to exploit the growing potential of these strains as my previous growing conditions were terrible. It's a whole new world in this precise climate that I have now. I have also grown a few autos as well as several other "freebies".

I need to figure out a good soil mix, now that I am away from a source of Fox Farm. Anyone have any recommendations? Tutorials?

I'm friggin baked. Some of that 60 Day Wonder has dried. It's nice having quality herb again.
 
Thank God for backups.... Yesterday, I went to water the babies, the light was OFF. After a couple minutes of diagnosis, I determined that the bulb was the faulty part. There is not a 600W HPS, anywhere around here. So, in the meantime while I wait on a 600 to be delivered, I broke out my old 400W MH. Those plants look totally different under a white light! I guess I'd be screwed if I didnt' have the 400. What do most folks do if their grow light goes out? Do most have back-ups, or do they haul every trouble light, lamp and flashlight into their grow rooms? Again I say, Thank God for Back-ups.
 
I have a few back ups and as of yet not had to use them, spare bulbs and blasts are a must. I keep all my old bulbs too so there is always a dofa laying around do fa now
 
Shit, thank God for back-up back-ups! I went to see the babies at their designated daybreak and lo' and behold, my damn light never came on! Fuck! So, into my goodie stash I went and a few minutes later, we are up and running with a new 400W ballast and capacitor. I guess the old ballast (or cap) went out sometime last night. That light spent prolly 15 years as a high-bay industrial light, and then went on to grow several marijuana crops. It was my first, I'm a little sad actually. Perhaps a burial service will be taking place tomorrow. On the brighter side, I am finding that an electrical class that I have been taking is proving quite beneficial in the grow arena. Hope all is well with all!
 
sorry to hear that man. Oh well, on to the next one right?! Got me thinking though, I need to seriously invest in a backup ballast, bulbs, ect. Don't wanna be caught with my pants down!! Happy growing
 
I've had my power out for a few days at a time... I just open the closet door and hope the sunlight from the window across the room keeps them going. Another time I left for a few days and for some reason didn't want to run the big light, so I put a 30w flouro tube in there and that worked ok for a few days.

funny we was talking of backups and my mate texted me asking if i had a spare ballast. So one of my spares is out on loan now lol. Good old back ups lol.
 
Just a photo update of where we are. Trich's are hummin', buds are swelling, my ladies are a stinkin'. I dialed my sched back to 11/13. The fridge is coming, within the first two weeks of December, I am going to convert a fridge. Working fridge. My three sprouts are growing like weeds, can't wait to try my hand at cloning.

I think I am going to use Subcool's super soil for the next go-round. I will begin rounding up all of the ingredients over the next couple of weeks.

Everybody doing good? Did my Star-Spangled brethren have a good Thanksgiving?
