Bag seed first time ever growing

so i figured why waste money on good seeds that ill probably just fuck up. plus ive collected hundreds of seeds over the years. i germinated 8 without knowing wtf i was doing yet. so 4 survived and 3 female. i tried leds first and found out they suck unless theyre very high watt. so i switched to 4 2700k cfls and a 50W led. i used the 2700k the entire grow cycle because by the time i found out about the different spectrums and what they are used for m girls were already budding. I had s major problem with little fungus spreading black flies. I HATE THEM!!! so i had to trim them naked to save them and now its week 16. so when do you suggest my harvest to be ready. i know im not going to yield much at all and my smoke will probably suck but i am trying to do it right for future plants.

Nothing wrong with bag seed. If you enjoyed the smoke, bag seed will grow you more of the same. Better, if you dry and cure it properly.

When did you switch to 12/12? Or did they just start to show sex by themselves?

it doesnt look or smell as badass as my usual pot but it got me high....... 12/12 was switched on after 8 weeks veg roughly.

You still have at least 3 weeks to go. That's plenty of time to read up on trichlomb(the resin glands/crystals) maturity, in order to determine the correct harvest time, and if not,...wait til at least 75% of the pistils have turned brown. When mine are finished, 95%+ of the pistils have turned, and the buds actually look ripe. Hard to describe, but you'll see what I mean. In the meantime, do some research. 3 weeks is a long time, and you can learn quite a bit by then.
