i just need to know if you can use 2 150 watt cfls with a metal hood around them for growing in veg. and then to bud with too thanks?

You can veg and bloom with CFLs many people do and get good results. Are the CFLs you have a true 150w or are they 150w equivalent? a 150w equivalent CFL is only like 20 or so "true" watts. In that case no you wouldn't get much if anything from 40w of CFL. *edit Gah you beat me again frm.. lol!

i had 60 Watts CFl in total while vegging two plants. it worked, but it grew real real real slow though
