This thread makes me smile and daydream every time! :) I can't wait to get out on the lake and fish and camp. I'll be camping almost non stop this summer soaking everything in as it will be my last one before the 'real world' hits :D

Damn, I can hear the lake calling my name lol, as soon as it gets warmer I'll be heading out. A little better today! Maybe the weather will be nice enough in a couple weeks and I'll be out on the boat with a smoke, some music, and a bass on the line!

That's the beauty of bass fishing.....you can be lazy, sitting on you're ass, while drinking or smoking and plop a worm or minnow in the water...or you can stand on the bow and site cast to pre-spawn bass and watch'em make a wake from 30ft away and kill your jerkin shad....wait for the pull or line to go slack and BAM!...set the hook!...I'm getting excited about fishing guys!

Anybody like flippin'/pitchin
Man, give me a few tokes of some old school NL and I will absolutely pick a shoreline apart with a tube jig, senko or a jig/craw combo. Hours upon hours. I use a shimano calcutta 50 w/65lb power pro on an 7' "East Texas Grass Rake", I can pull a stump out the ground with that setup . Started using a swimmin' jig a bit more this year. But when I really get into heavy cover, I stick with a tube jig for the smaller profile.

Peace

I flipped my damn boat at Rayburn, was under the 147 bridge and the wind was coming from the damn.Barely got under the bridge then flipped it about 5mls in the run to the weigh in at the ramp RT near the damn.Lucky I didnt kill my damn self, was in a 175 skeeter, with a 150hp Mercury.
Got a 20ft Champion with a 225hp dual console and tandem trailer now.
A few yrs back was Carolina riggin a old road bed and caught a 32lb drum on a pumpkin seed french fry,Thought i had the state record, hellova fight was so pissed,It barely fit in the net.

I can relate, I have been fishing Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn for the last 25 years solid and have a place on Toledo Bend as well.
The "Bed Fishing" for bass is heating up, but the crappie fishing has been un-freakin real here for the last 2 weeks. My mother-n-law is 74 and she caught an 19.5" crappie that hit almost 2.5lbs. I have cleaned over 300 in the last 2 weeks. Will be headed back tomorrow evening after work, going to be a nice weekend for sure.

Peace and Tight Lines for All !

I only bed fish if in a trny.
Sad to pull up on a bed and see a jig or some other lure hanging from her mouth. Its fun tho and is a art to knowing if shes really locked on the bed.Damn thts some nice Crappie.

Biggest bass was an 8.9lb I caught at Loxahatchee,Fl...it got tangled in weeds so there was no fight, just the initial strike.......my biggest fish ever i was fishing for snook and caught an estimated 100+lb tarpon off the Dania beach pier,I fought that beast for 30min,reeling him up to the rocks 3 times.Ive got hundreds of pics but neither of those :dunce:Why can we never get pics of our biggest?WTF,is up with that?!?!?...lol....is it just me?

I've been sea fishing, but it was a horrible flop. Went fishing for flounder, and all I caught was a couple of crabs. LOL, there's a joke there, but seriously.
