Speaking of floating boats ... also been into Great Lakes freighter videos. Someone films those massive steel bathtubs coming in and out of the Duluth Harbour.
With our golf trip in Niagara every year, I've been fortunate to see quite a few of those big boats in action. They come trundling through the Welland Canal and I've seen 'em at the Regional Rd. 59 lift bridge just south of the QEW in St. Catharines and a few kms further south between Thorold and Port Robinson at the Allenburg Lift Bridge over Highway 20.

Fixed the barbecue. Last time I used it I almost burned the neighbourhood down. The burners and reflectors were disintegrating when I was taking them out.
Got a liter of orange degreaser, but I don’t feel like doing that today.

Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 would beg to differ. I stood 20 feet away from that and even with ear plugs it was near cranial meltdown.

I’m like ….a punctuality nerd. I think it started being a competitive swimmer for a long time and practicing by timing intervals with the clock.i started at a very young age. Held the 10 and under 25 Yard backstroke record for a long time.in retrospect that makes total sense. I am still good at not seeing where I’m going. Lol

I went to Niagara so one night while (I can only presume) drunk & high, my college roommates and I climbed the Allenburg bridge. My finest moment? No. Oh to be young and dumb again. Actually, no. I’m good
