Blueberry Muffin has got a decent smell. But it doesn't translate to flavor at all, and it might be some of the weakest smoking cannabis I've ever grown.

How many did you run? I have puffed it a few times and a friend ran a few packs, he had a pheno that had some really tasty terps and frosted out chonky purp buds that got me pretty baked. Lots of people like and its seems pretty stable

3 packs and their clone they sell. its big and purple.. resin mediocre at best and the smoke...garbage bin for me

It definitely isn't knock your socks off potency for sure.. but was chill for like a end of day smoke. I don't think any of humboldt seed co stuff is crazy potent, pretty sure they do massive pheno hunts and their beans are somewhat stable- but the blueberry muff i saw and puffed had some tasty bb terps, my dude must have got lucky with a pheno. I actually picked up a pack after seeing it. I'd go back to recommending some of dynasty genetics blueberry cross strain, prop p has some great gear.

The Blueberry muffins is a nice relaxing smoke, I prefer it during the day, not too heavy. Their apple blossom hits me pretty damn hard through.

I just took a chance and bought 2 packs of a limited drop of 100 packs of 90s Blueberry from Blue Star Seeds. The name he calls the strain is 90s Blues. Ive never really heard of them, but looked around and saw several places that are legit, sell their seeds. One is DC Seed Exchange, and Cool Beans.
Its claimed the genetics are DJ Short F4 98 Blueberry x F4 95 Blueberry. I had the 90s Blueberry, and really liked it, and grew the Dutch Passion BB in 2009 and wasnt impressed. I was impressed that it germinated as fast as anything Ive ever seen, and it was already frosted at 14 days after flip, but the high was on the medium low side. It had a huge yield, and the plants grew great. Just not as potent as I was looking for. Everything else about it desirable.
Ive heard he uses DJ Shorts 98 F4 Male to breed with his 95 F4 female. I also hear they are next door neighbors. If its legit, it seems like they would make some damn good plants.
Only time will tell if this breeding is a keeper. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Ive also got 3 packs of AKBB Blueberry.
Supposed to produce both Green Stem Pheno, and Purple Stem Pheno. Some say the Green Stem Pheno is more desirable. I dont know. But these [hotos look god to me. But you cant tell a book by its cover.
I got them from www.coolbeanseedbank.com $100 a pack, for 10 seeds.

Blue star is legit, they are partnered with old world genetics (dj short) for breeding projects. All of their strains include some form of dj short genetics..
I was on the fence with the 90s blues bcs last I heard the pre-98 was lost but who knows who to believe about that

Grew out Oregon Cutthroat (Black Rose x DJ Short's F4 Blueberry), and I smelled strong blueberry fruit. I was pleased. The high was above average, but the smell was not at all dank. Just straight fruity tropical cut blueberries... Yielded great. Frost is above average. Got beat out by different terps this year.

Oregon Cutthroat is a Second Generation genetics strain, dj shorts son JD.
I’ve grown his plumberry kush and Einstein’s pipe, both were very good, EP is what blue dream wishes it could be
The saga continues... funny how hard it is to recreate something or is it that nobody is really focused solely on that goal. Abandoning projects seems to be the norm. Am missing that blueberry smoke. Was always a good one around ontario back in the day. One of the best. Poppin some sour power og karma x fighting buddah chimera. Dropped 16 beans will see how it comes out. Fb male was very fruity jammy stem rub smell. Sour power slight fruity kushy ogk. Hope to get some blueberry terps here. Might try some more fb hybrids with that male. Bluedigiberry, blue tara, and the f2s of the fb using that same fruity male.
Could you give me a little more info on the EP that you grew? How do you think it differs from Blue Dream? Thanks!

Not sure which version or year this blueberry is from (probably the F4 though) it isn't as good as the pre 98, but this has blueberry flavor from the 1st to last hit on a joint.....just not as strong as the flavor used to be.....leans more towards the sour blueberry flavor.
I prefer a sweet blueberry flavor.
Oddly enough when the jar is popped open, the smell on it reminds me of the smell from girl scout cookies though....so maybe it's mislabeled blueberry cookies?? Idk.....but I've had blueberry cookies before and absolutely hated it....this version I love though, just not as much as pre 98 lol

The old one was more a sweet blueberry candy type thing it wasnt super sour ime if its the old stretch indica type you talking about before he lost it

On the sweeter side, with a blueberry muffin pheno in there, which was the most sought after pheno - and also used in Johnny Blaze, the 90s blueberry haze which was the best version of blueberry haze.

Blue Star is highly recommended. The F4 Blueberry genetics are from the 90's and lots of gold to be found.
The original blueberry we grew, smoked and loved in the 90's smelled and tasted like fresh blueberries just picked and loudly tasted that way. Some had a hint of sweetness to accompany the fruit flavor. Epic cannabis!

from which breeder? There are dozens of options and blueberry is made by a cross it's not a landrace/heirloom
The issue as I understand is that the blueberry from DJ short does not taste like the blueberry many of us smoked back in the late 90's early 00's anymore. The story goes that the plant that was being used back then was lost as far as I have heard and since then we have had a diluted 'kind of blueberry-ish' but more fruit/floral option. This is why you see many nostalgic people looking for that old school blueberry.
Also I do not know how much to buy into them saying these blueberry packs are circa 90's. Maybe that's where the line originates but each filial generation after seems to have ruined it. I have not had anyone tell me the F4 or F5 from DJ are the same as old school. In fact I have had more people say F4 isn't it, not bad but not blueberry and regarding F5 people have told me don't even waste your time, they ruined it. As I mentioned in an earlier post not even DJ/JD or Blue Star use the F5 for breeding, they all use the F4 or F3 (that to me says something).
Now they released 90's blues which claims to be DJ Short 98 F4 Blueberry X F4 Circa 95 Blueberry..
If that F4 circa 95 is real I would have to assume that is the one we all want. Why wouldn't they just release that instead of mixing it with F4?
