Uhh, Venezuela is far from fascism, more like socialism. The main reason I wouldn't want to live there is I'd be hated as an American after what our country has done to Venezuela. The Idea of 12 cent a gallon gas does appeal to me though, My hot rod gets about 6 MPG. I can't really afford to drive it here.
Damn! After my millions of posts, you still don't get the picture that fascism IS socialism? Here, Med ... See Spot run. See Jane run. You're right, I don't get it. In my pea brain, they are opposites.Damn! After my millions of posts, you still don't get the picture that fascism IS socialism? Here, Med ... See Spot run. See Jane run. See Spot and Jane run ...

I get the picture that socialism is the pretext to fascism. I believe that if tyrant was to become "dictator" in a socialistic country, than it would be easier for him to convert to fascism. I beet if the USA was considered socialistic, than Bush would have named himself dictator in order to "save us from the terrorists that harbor the world".. HAHA...Damn! After my millions of posts, you still don't get the picture that fascism IS socialism?

Nope ... they are not "opposites" at all. Because of their minor differences, they both lead to statism. The ultimate result of statism is economic and political slavery. Here's a very interesting article I'm presenting to you in the spirit of cooperation, Med. I sincerely hope you take the time to read and absorb it:You're right, I don't get it. for some reason they think that the juggernaut can be stopped short of totalitarianism. ignore the fact that socialism places far too much power into the hands of a nearly uncontrollable government. forget about the people whose rights are trampled on for a forced redistribution of wealth. don't give a second thought to the disastrous results of modern socialist experiments. just look to that rosy future where the state can take care of us all.I only want the good parts of socialism.
even a pea brain can see a link between socialism and totalitarianism (i won't use the term fascism, it's far too slippery a concept to nail any meaningful definition to). giving the state power over economic matters is a wonderful first step on the road to giving it total control over all of our actions. no road is without its potholes, but anyone who values their freedom would avoid the road that leads toward the destruction of the private sector in favor of governmental control - no matter how bumpy it may be.You're right, I don't get it. In my pea brain, they are opposites.
But...but...What about us folks that only want the "good" parts of the Constitution?with all the bitching and moaning and such, here is the core desire and greatest ignorance of the liberal mind.for some reason they think that the juggernaut can be stopped short of totalitarianism. ignore the fact that socialism places far too much power into the hands of a nearly uncontrollable government. forget about the people whose rights are trampled on for a forced redistribution of wealth. don't give a second thought to the disastrous results of modern socialist experiments. just look to that rosy future where the state can take care of us all.
can anyone really be so short sighted as to believe that we can really take only the best of anything? fools whine about the inequalities of our society, citing that famous phrase "all men are crated equal". well that's bullshit. all men may be created with equal rights, but circumstances differ from man to man and opportunities vary along with them. idiots rail against massive corporations taking enormous profits and fight for government to step in and take over these giants for the sake of the people, when it is mostly through governmental interference in the market and government subsidies that these abuses have been permitted.

Look, I don't advocate government control over everything. That would be totalarianism, I wouldn't like that. So what's so wrong with socialized medicine. First it would take the burden off of business to provide Medical coverage. The Medical insurance companies are bankrupting GM, Ford, And Chrysler. If everyone paid a tax toward government medical, I'm pretty sure a good model could be worked out. Lets take this one cure at a time and make this a real government of, by, and for the people. I'm not as stupid as you think, I realize most of you that rave against my posts have a vested interest in some private entity.with all the bitching and moaning and such, here is the core desire and greatest ignorance of the liberal mind.for some reason they think that the juggernaut can be stopped short of totalitarianism. ignore the fact that socialism places far too much power into the hands of a nearly uncontrollable government. forget about the people whose rights are trampled on for a forced redistribution of wealth. don't give a second thought to the disastrous results of modern socialist experiments. just look to that rosy future where the state can take care of us all.

Not me...I realize most of you that rave against my posts have a vested interest in some private entity.
But you have hopes of having a vested interest in some private entity, right We? so therefore you are against any government controlled anything, that will not change anything. the changes come from within. Granted, the government is not your friend, but there are somethings that government can do better than private industry, there are a lot they cannot. We must take the profit out of medical, they are not compatable. Charging someone to be sick doesn't make any sense at all, except to those making profit from it.Not me...
I just don't trust the gov't. Let us not forget our history. Our forefathers wrote the US Constitution to keep gov't minimal. They wanted the gov't to work for the people and not have the people work for the gov't. To protect and serve, and not dictate and take civil liberties away.
Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

we never plan on taking things too far, it just happens. you say you want only the best of socialism, sorry you just can't have only the cream. you have to remember that what you are choosing is not the end product, but the path we are to follow.Look, I don't advocate government control over everything. That would be totalitarianism....
so we start with education, then it's on to medicine, then oil, then..... each time we hand over a different part of our lives to government they are a bit more emboldened and they want just a little more. it doesn't stop. you can't just say "here is where we draw the line, we will hand over no more of our freedoms", because the next time someone else will come up with a plausible excuse for us to relinquish a bit more power and the next time and the next time..... and they'll get away with it because the precedent has been set.Lets take this one cure at a time and make this a real government of, by, and for the people.
so we're back to the shallowness of liberal thought, if you aren't for us you must be bought and paid for. i've got news for you buck-o, the only thing i've got a vested interest in is seeing to it that socialist twits don't steal the few freedoms i have left and making sure that i don't end up paying for everyone else's free ride. i do without a lot of things to enjoy my few luxuries and i'll be damned if i'll let a bunch of naive bumpkins have any say about what i can, cannot or must do.I realize most of you that rave against my posts have a vested interest in some private entity.
