Woootttt!!!!!!! I finally got the cabinet painted, holes cut, exhaust rag tagged for first test last night. stabilized at 83.4 deg & 28%humidity. with a ambient room temp of 71.2. & 42%
12.2 degree deferential for about two hours. Had to stop when the lights turned off.
While takin a few tokes ,chillin on the couch, contemplating possible impending failure and wishing I had brought my laptop out of the room so I could order a cool tube (ready to flower a week ago) I did some old school math in the cerebral portion up top. ( I love sativa) Mind you.... I'm old as my first post on RIU stated so math is stored pretty deap. So I had matched the passive intake to just over 2x the exhaust port size. 59.5 sq.in. and used a 4 inch duct fan(100 cfm) exhaust at the base of the bulb ducted out the side and the 434cfm ducted out the top from just in front of bulb tip (1.5") so as not to block direct lighting to the floor . 16' fan hung in center on one side.
This morning I turned the 4 inch at the base into a powered intake and cut another 40sq.in passive in the bottom opposite side as first 40sq.in. rectangle.
Here is why im rambling like a giddy kid. Im sitting here monitoring recording temps every ten minutes.
It has been one hour with 600w bare bulb running at 100% power.
Ambient room temperature: 71.0 deg & 42% relative humidity
Cabinet temperature:
70.5 deg & 42% relative humidity
Differential: - 0.5 deg & 0% relative humidity
LOL: the heat in the room is on and its up to 73.4 &40%.......The cab is rock steady..hasn't moved
GETTING EXCITED UP IN HERE!!!! ROOM AT 75.2 AND 37% AND CAB DROPPED LOL. 70.3 DEG & 42%
