Can I veg seedlings under a regular cfl for a couple weeks?

Like a 23 water out of the house? Just something for them to grow under til they get a few inches tall

yes you can. and the it should be placed 1 cm away from your seedlings.

yeah right on top of it, cfls wont burn unless its pretty much touch. sites like HTG have just $50 T5's which you can use the whole grow and yield halfway decent. primarily great for seedlings and veg.

I have grown a seed from start to finish with a single cfl, only to prove that it could be done, Keep the light 2 inches away from the seedling. also put a light fan on the seedlings to prevent damp off.

what chicken says.... try to get a few more for when you flip to flower tho, you'll be pleasantly surprised what a few cfls can do

I've gotta grow outdoor, but just wanted to give them a chance inside to get em ready for outside then slowly expose em to the sun.
