The market

Production increases, everyone's income across the board should increase. Nobody said it has to be even percentages, but 94% is unacceptable. The bottom 90% of people get to fight for the 6% of scraps that are left? That is unacceptable. How can you disagree with that? Do you think the CEO's and people at the top should get 96% of the profits resulting from the workers increase of production?[COLOR]

I think you're confused what a market is. A set in stone minimum price isn't a market.

I didn't open my own business. Why do you believe a business and those it hires are the only solution?
I don't, I just realize that is the most realistic way to approach it as historically, there are more employees working jobs than there are business owners. Opening a business is a valid solution for some Americans, not for the majority of those with economic problems

So you consider fast food.....Production, not Service?

The documents I write are put on an exchange, then I get a percentage. So I opened a business? Did I get hired?

If the argument is that paying people $10/hr will improve the standard of living for minimum wage earners, I'm not on board. If you raise the floor, it is still the floor. The markets will adjust, things will reach equilibrium, and the poor will still be poor.
we've done this argument before, i end up posting the BLS stats next to min wage stats, min wage keeps coming out ahead, and then you cry.

let's save the tears this time around, kiddo.

loaded question, thus i reject.

many people work hard and are not assholes. it usually ends them up on a conservative boycott list along with costco and ben&jerry's.
The rich work hard and so do I. I only buy what I can afford and find useful. Even if it's a Macintosch.

how many loaded questions and false presuppositions you gonna make today?

wealth is most often inherited, stolen, or married into.

you should tell my pa-in-law how hard he is working right now as he sits in the US virgin islands while his employees give apartment tours, fill out paperwork, and turn over apartments left in squalid conditions.

do you really think he's getting up on 24 foot ladders to put a fresh coat of paint on the walls? nope.

Dude, Canna, you have to accept that there are poor people who work hard. Day laborers, fire fighters, teachers, the list is endless.. All of these are hard working occupations that pay very little. There is no disputing that.

Can we finally put to rest your insistence on this point?

Do you think Bill Maher works hard? Barbara Boxer? ...

I've seen people with Phds that were unemployed, are they just lazy?

Stop pretending the problem is so simple as "work harder"

Do you sit in front of your Macbook for up to 20 hours in a day writing what others give a fuck about enough to get well over a living wage? I do.

that was a horribly awkward sentence, i had to read it several times and can still barely make sense of what you're saying.

I lost all my friends and family over my dream. It's insulting people want the easy way out. If you work hard enough, the right way, it's very possible. I went from nothing to my dream.

You want people to have as difficult a time as you or more just to be able to put a little money in savings each paycheck and not have to worry about if they're going to eat that day?

It sounds like you feel entitled to your justification

You're not paying me, get used to stream of consciousness. I'm on a bed using a phone, not my Macbook. That's what my writing looks like until I revise it.
