but are they tiger pawns? Good with butter and lotsa garlic.
I imagine they are appropriately pissed and grateful to get out of the gulag, it was a nice gesture, since Trump refused to extradite the princess that we had to hold by treaty. Daddy ran the biggest phone company in the world and rang up Xi because princess got busted in BC, next thing ya know these two hapless guys were snatched off the street and threatened with death sentences at one point. So, both the PM and POTUS had a hand in getting them sprung and sending the princess back to China, we have other ways of screwing China and Huawei.

I don't use twitter, what or who is the CSIS director talking of?
The anonymous source(s) that Global news got their information from, for that story.

Being that the two Michael's were released hours after Meng was on her way back to China, the story would require us to believe that Han Dong was able to convince both China and the U.S. to wait on an exchange to help the Liberal's; or there is some fuckery involved in the story that requires further explanation.

"It's not clear which types of jobs these projects would create in Canada.

Biden may have triggered some cringes in Canadian political circles when he appeared to suggest the value-added transformation jobs from this future sector would go to the U.S.

He cast it as an ideal partnership: Canada would extract the minerals, Americans would build things with them.

"You guys – we don't have the minerals to mine, you can mine them," he said. "You don't want to produce, I mean, turn them into product."

Hewers of wood and drawers of (hydroelectric power) water in the eyes of the US it seems.

A lot of employers like the idea of government healthcare, it removes a considerable burden for them and the supplemental health care insurance that many buy is cheap, so Canada has its attractions, unfortunately reflected in high real estate prices. We haven't seen any mass migrations of Americans, but if Trump got in a second time the country would be full, with more pawing at the door to get in. It would not be far enough away few places would be.
