I was wondering how dry my shake needs to be to make canna butter
I cropped out yesterday so its been drying for a day
But I dont really think i should matter if its dry or not should it??

Good question!

I've always dried mine out well, but not a carefully as bud. Don't know if it has to be "really" dry, or if you can use it fresh. I know dry works good though!

It needs to be dry, dude! Otherwise the butter is going to absorb the green stuff in the plant (it's called Chlorophyll) and it will taste like SHIT. Another reason to let it dry is to ensure that the THC is in its psychoactive form and will get you high. It takes a bit of time after chopping for THC to become psychoactive. Chlorophyll will give you a headache too. =(

It should smell unmistakably like herb and not grass or hay. You just don't want it to be that dark green color, yaknow? You aren't going to use fan leaves right? Just sugar leaves?
