Can't get my Oil into Wax

My skillet was on 110-125ish, every time I checked the oil it was around 110... The method worked multiple times with the same material, only fresher, and it seems the older the longer it takes, if ever, atleast that's what I noticed..., I'm not gonna worrie anymore till next harvest, and if my OG combs up within a couple hours ill hash everything right then and not make it as I need it cause obviously somthing happens over time

yes i have noticed that as well that the older the shit is the longer it takes to wax and the darker it usually is. i have my griddle at 135 and that make the bottom of my chamber right at 130, i have carved a notched into my presto griddle's dial so i know exactly where it needs to be lol. let us know on ur next stuff

dont know if you have mentioned it or not. but when you place your oil at room temp. can you work it with your hands for a second or two, and not get it stuck to you? or is it goo? what kind of stage is it at at room temp?

Mostly.. I think it had part to do with the fact I didn't use vector. I changed oil and used vector and am currently running. It seemed to have made all the difference. I've done so much trial and error based off the comb I made first. It quite literally comb be NOTHING other than the vac oil, or the tane. The oil in the vac collects contaminants and moisture. In our case that'd be butane. If the oil is spent of course it would stop purging properly. I could be wrong, but I've been changing a nut hair of a detail in 7 seperate small runs to figure out it has to be tane or oil. More than likely the oil. Reading that some change the oil everytime for purging. HVAC guys change it everytime as well. So, since this present run looks 1000% better I'd say yeah. If it combs ill send you the pic 👌

I agree with both of you. hes a dick and it took me around 25 tries and probably 10 grams in wasted/burnt/over cooked oil trying to find the right temperature. not too high or not too low. not to mention the hours weve all spent playing with our stuff and BSing with each other here on RIU... weve got a lot of time into this shit!
ive been running my oil for 2 months now. ive even evapped everclear off in that oil. still get good BHO.
changed pump oil, still getting same oil.
I dont think vacuum pump oil plays a significant role as ive waxed/shattered up with my vacuum almost dry, as well as the oil being super contaminated with everclear which ive heard ruins oil.
maybe if they sold vacuum pump oil locally (I check wal mart, canadian tire, princess auto, peavey mart, NAPA, everywhere) I would change it more often. but I need to custom order it through work and its like 18$ a liter so yeah, my pump oil doesnt get changed much.

for the oil/ vac pumps.
none of my auto parts stores have it. You need to try and find a shop specializing in stove top repairs, / fridge repairs / air conditioning repair. Most common people dont shop at these shops. so thats why it may be hard for you to spot one, search around. that is your best bet, other than online. '
i think ive only perma good like half my shit ever
thus why i like weedcohol and medibles.the store i buy my oil from advertises this: "Commercial-Industrial Refrigeration-Heating-Air-conditioning"

I know for damn sure I acquired my temps from experience.. Google is notorious for letting me down in my oil-making research..fuck the first few links are always some fool using pvc and duct tape and cheesecloth and Ronson tane...haha
Google usually is a persons best friend, but you gotta know what to search for, when brushing up bho skills.
But, there is a good wealth of knowledge on the intrawebz, just don't believe what is written, rather use the info provided as a guide, but not ruler of thumb.
Making oil in any form, wax, honeycomb, shatter, budder is very difficult to obtain, until one has experienced the procedure through repetition.
Too many variables held within the plant matter, hell you could take one whole plant, split in half.
Run half in one tube, half in another.. Use the same tek, same heat, same everything, and one run will shatter, one will wax.
Each flower, each leaf contains variable amounts of essential oils and waxes.
One must be able to visually recognize what variable may be occurring and be able to adjust your tek to accommodate the variable.

except for the fart smell, perfume, they add to it so you know if it is leaking. the perfume also goes into your oil. neon gas is really shitty (the brand not actual neon gas) and this guy around here used it and his oil smell like someone farted in your face.

hmm interesting. ive used ronson before and its great stuff. I cant find anywhere in the MSDS where it says that a scent was added, but I dont know the techincal name.
its 99% butane whereas other brands have propane and other stuff in them.
youre talking about ronson with the red cap and white can? ill have to check some out tomorrow... ive never noticed any scents from it or weird smells. ill do the mirror test. google results seems to say to avoid it too.... weird.
