no see we are looking at two different perspectives of likes and dislikes you want off road and you dont care about gasoline. me on the other hand i want a reliable fast, economical community/ weekender car.

I had to drive for 3 years non-stop for my last job @ around 150-300 miles a night 5-6 nights a week. I have seen enough bs on the roads & figure I will never need myself a small fast car.. I want something I can be alive in when the unexpected happens >.<

i had a dude stop me at dennys, the other night just to tell me my HIDS were illegal and i could get a ticket.
for having them. then i asked if he knew if 3k HIDS are illigal if he knew by chance, he said he didnt know.
now my question is. 3k illegal and are 6k white spectrum HIDS really illegal.
taking in consideration some cars have 6k in stock lights. my car is not so old looking so there shouldn't be a problem right?
Are you in Cali? From what I've heard they are pretty strict about modding cars, it would really depend on the laws in your area. I do think the color plays a part in it, the really bright blue and white ones are targeted more I think. Because most stock lights tend to be yellowish.

They are illegal where I'm at unless it is stock, but people run them anyway. I kind of hate driving at night, I feel blinded by the HIDs lol.

I'm looking at a new used car. I'm looking for a car that is:
A) manual
B) performance modifiable
C) decent gas mileage

Right now I'm looking at cobalt SS, focus. I like the SS cause its supercharged and easily modifiable via smaller pulley and bigger fuel injectors. I like the focus cause they're 164 HP which is like 210+ HP turbo'd.

Any other car I should look at?

You're right about everyone having HIDs, all my friends have em. I don't need em and sometimes I get pissed off :cuss: I feel like I need to wear sun glasses at night.

It's easy to tell that there's some very young people posting responses on this thread. I couldn't even finish reading through the posts. Most of you have no clue about what you're talking about. I realize this might be a poor example, but have any of you ever heard of the tv program called Top Gear? On it, a former F1 driver track tests all kinds of cars from Aston-Martins to Zondas. (A to Z, get it?) On the track, the Z06 Corvette blows away all the Subaru Imprezzas, Hondas including the NSX, and I think even the Nissan GTR. What keeps winning LeMons and 24hrs of Daytona? Umm, none of the above, but the Corvette does.

dude i been knowing about top gear before u were born,n i know ur a noob. cuz a corvette is fucking garbage in turns n it wll never beat a gtr. it wouldnt beat it in a circuit, or in a drag race. a honda can easily beat n has before beaten all corvettes like nothing :). cheers
