Chief Puff Puff's Tent Grow---Auto Blue Mystics

Hey Icannabis, the thread was to introduce you to the "Make it Rain" technique. I don't know how many weeks you have before harvesting the BMs, but you can increase their size by flushing them when you water them, then when they need watering again, feed them but don't flush during feeding. Repeat the process again until a week before harvest, then just flush them until you harvest. I flushed my plants by watering 2 times the size of the pot. If the pot is a gallon, then I use 2 gallon of water to water my plant. People think this is over watering your plant. Over watering is when you don't give your plant time to dry before watering again. Flushing is watering your plant with a large amount of water. Now we have to give your babies names other than shit How about names that are unisex (both male and female). Names like Jerry, Freddie, Sam, Jamie, Bobby, Adrien. This way, boy or girl the name will work.

Im a believer in the "make it rain" technique. I did it to my girl when I xplanted her after I saw CHIEF write about it. That is no joke. her next water will be a feed with no rain. Then repeat that process. She really loved it!

Hey Manditroy, do you have a journal of your grow? I want to see what a male BM looks like and your AK48s. I would like to get Blue Mystic seeds. Could I get seeds if I'm growing Auto Flowering Blue Mystics? I'm loving this BM strain and would love to get some seed if I can growing AFs. Plus I need to learn how to collect pollen so I could use your help. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my grow.

It's my second try for the Blue Mystic - my first two seeds ended up being males (but they were real pretty boys!). I'm growing under CFLs, so I don't expect any big harvest, but my current grow of AK48s is looking good and budding nicely for my very first try. What's up Arch, thanks for the compliment. My family is growing pretty good. Since I plan to grow these 2 strains again, keeping a grow journal will help me track mistakes made, how to get a better yield, compare grow stages, how a certain technique worked and what strains others are growing that I might want to grow. Like those Northern Lights

When that day comes, I will give a very thorough smoke report on the NL strain.

I'm hoping to make the NLs my next grow if all goes well with this grow Hopefully that report will be given while you are smoking on her. The more mistakes you make while explaining it to use, I'll know that the smoke is the bomb

Yeah chief...I run a hydroponics setup my kids get watered 5 times a day with nutrient water. I started doing a phase watering cycle when I change my res. every two weeks. It's easy and works. Basically it's just putting water in for a day it serves two purposes to clean the res. of salt build up and let the the chlorine bubble out of the water. But I think everyone does what I do in hydroponics. I figured this out after reading that everyone would get great growth after res. changes and I wondered why. So I was turn on too trying it. It seems to be pretty good and I have not problems so far in my grow. And my blue mystics have about 15- 20 red hairs so it getting close to harvest. Take care and good luck

That's a lot of work for growing hydroponics. I forgot you don't use soil. The make it rain technique is for soil growers. Keep it up the great work!!

Damn Chief, all I've got to say is I'M JEALOUS!

Hey Chief...I don't know if they would be autos, but I don't know why you couldn't get some seeds from your BMs in the usual way. I'm a total newb, but I read up a little on the pollen collecting thing and gave it a try. I made a "boys room" from a cardboard box and a pair of CFLs - put them in the basement as far away from my grow room as possible. I just watered them and crammed three plants into a box from a big microwave. I had three strains, so I kept a nice boy from each strain going long enough for the balls to start producing pollen. They began plumping up and bursting open, so I could see what they looked like when they were about to pop. I would pluck any balls that looked as though they were about to open, and also shook the pollen off that was sitting on leaves where some had already popped. I collected them in a small container - one for each strain - and let them sit opened so that they could dry out better. I don't know if I did it right, as I dabbed only a couple of the lowest buds on my AKs, and they won't be ready for a while yet. I'm hoping they will produce at least a few seeds to keep my garden growing later. The Blue Mystic that sprouted on Christmas is doing well - growing the third set and counting the days until I can top her for 4 colas!

This is my Blue Mystic baby...maybe not quite as big as yours is Chief. The pretty boy is my first BM topped for 4 colas - it would have been such a gorgeous girl!

Chief you could wait till past harvest and collect the fem. seeds. The plant will pollinate itself and produce seed if you wait awhile past harvest. The smoke will be good. And it will not produce many seeds. I'm sure you read this on here before. It isn't advised to do it on feminized seeds because you'll get a high hermy ratio.

Manditroy, I'm still trying to get a male I can collect pollen from. I read about collecting pollen. I think I will use your method with the box and make a male room Those seeds you will get from crossing blue mystic with the ak-48, should produce some fire ass weed. I would love one of those seeds

Can you draw a diagram of your ventilation for me using "Paint"? It will give me a better understanding of your tent set-up. Here is a pic of mine I did. Its always good to smoke a bowl prior to drawing like I did. Its even funnier when your sober and see what you did when you were high. LOL

I forgot to add the 4" in-line booster fan I have pulling fresh air into my tent at the bottom right side. LOL

Hey BKB, my tent is 3x2x5 feet, I have a 150w HPS, 2-inline exhaust fans with 80 cfms each and 1-inline intake fan with 80 cfms at the bottom of the tent. I want to get a carbon filter scrubber off eBay to use with 1 of my exhaust fans. My space is only 30 cubic feet, so I don't need a fan that pulls too much air because that will be an over kill. My HPS does not have a place to vent out heat like your 400w, so I don't have to vent the heat from the lights like you do. So basically I want to exhaust any smells I get while growing out the tent but I live in an apartment and the tent is in the spare bedroom, so controlling the smell is a must. If this was the equipment you were working with how would you set if up? Plus you have a 4" x 12" scrubber arriving soon. Hey I saw you were a regular on Riddle's thread. I learned so much about growing. I definitely plan to use the "Make It Rain" technique with this grow and every grow from here on out. Hey what do you think about drowning your plan for 10-12 day before you harvest? It reduces the curing time if I'm not mistaking. I think I'm going to try this too.

Hey Icannabis, I checked out the information about E & F. I live in an apartment and I will have to wait until I move in a house in July to use the Ebb & Flow method of growing. I would do it in the basement where there's a drain for convenience.

The party cup plant is my Christmas Blue Mystic baby, the other was a BM beauty that ended up male (in a 1 gal pot). I grew him out enough for pollen collection so if this new baby is a girl, I'll be set with the goods to make a few seeds on her lower buds for later.
