Day 15F:

Today this beautiful little girl became a woman. She's had enough of small town life, so she moved to the city and shortened her skirt, a lot.

She was real thick below the net, and the lower growth just wasn't getting any light.

I wanted to wait until day 22, but she was telling me she was ready. So I grabbed the Fiskars and got to work.
Before:

After:

Pretty much everything below the net got the snip. Really opened up the airflow in the box. I'll wait until day 22 to defol above the net, unless anyone else has a better idea.
I ended up with way too many little branches, I'll definitely be more aggressive with the lollipopping in veg next run.

Buds just starting to develop.

Day 20F:

She's looking really happy overall after the defoliation. Starting to develop some nugmeat and even some frost. She is looking a little pale in places though, not quite sure what that is yet. I've been struggling with a leaky humidifier, might have to order a new one here soon...

Almost nug porn bro. Shes gonna be a hefty girl when she's done if that's at day 20

Thanks man! She's looking better every day! Now I've got to get the veg section going and pop some more beans!
I'm gonna attempt to get the rest of my cobs soldered today. And then work on getting my rig wired up. My girls are looking well this morning too. What beans you popping next mate

Good luck with the build man. I actually enjoy soldering, not sure why everyone seems to complain so much about it. I've been a welder as well, that might have something to do with it.
I have some Green Ribbon bagseed, big fat juicy lookin seeds. I think I'll go straight for the Malibu Pie though. I'm drooling all over Instagram watching people grow it out!

Day 22F:

She had a bit of a defoliation today. I tried not to go too apeshit, but basically anything that I felt was blocking light from a decent sized lower budsite or airflow got the chop.
Before:

After:

I'm really happy with how much light the lower nodes are getting now. I've only got about 8" of total canopy height, gotta maximize every bit of that.

Looking forward to watching these develop. :weed:

Shes looking belting mate. I would have gone a bit lighter on that defoliation or at least staged it over days to try and cause minimal stress but you will be sweet

Yeah I thought a lot about that. I kind of had to force myself to do it today. I've been reading a lot and watching a lot of different techniques, and I look at it like pulling off a bandaid. You want to just rip it off quick, it stings a little but it's over quick. Pull it off slow and you tug at your prolific, manly, arm hair and it hurts more. ;)

It's not something I've had a good experience with. You end up with sickly looking thin wispy things. They seem to stretch more and not fill the node spacing. Just my opinion though you may have a much better experience. I'll keep an eye on yours and still keep an open mind on the subject

Yeah I'm experimenting as well, we'll see how it goes.

I think it was good! Pruning after flipping to 12/12 and a 2nd time 2-3 weeks into flower (for some sativas 4-5 weeks) seems to work pretty good for me. As smaller your space is, as more buds you wanna grow instead of leafs. I would have hit her even harder, but that is open for discussion. Also I think it's less stress for her, to plug her once, than over several days just a little (especially early in flower, where she needs to concentrate...) Think about yourself, you have one stressful day, and can relax the rest of the week, or you have a little stress every day.

I never said take my word as fact mate was literally saying what I would do personally. Same as yourself. I had a bad experience but you had good. There is a lot of debate on the subject so let's not start another one here haha.

In response to your question I'd rather have a little stress every day cos one hella stressful day will only land me in jail. I don't deal well with stress if you can tell. Lol

Haha (:

I didn't wanted to argue, nor disrespect your opinion! Just putting my opinion beside that. And what I've learned is grown out of mistakes I've done... Especially that the most important is the correct timing. I think it's pretty random to hit the right timing for seedlings, but if you grow cuttings, it's way easier - last time plugging was too late, ok next run do it earlier. But seedlings are not consistent, so it's more important to watch the growth, especially the develoment of buds, and the end of strech.

For example (and please forgive me) BHMC did the pruning 4-5 days atleast too late. In my opinion, the earlier light woulde have got more tips closer to the canopy for more uniformity. Anyways they will develope pretty good now, and everything looking good and healthy! Im not here to criticize you, it was just good to point out my opinion on the timing, and my experiences what happens during the stretching.

In no way was I after an argument either. Think we just got wires crossed. It is a really highly debated subject already and there are good arguments for both sides. But personally it's not for me. xX_BHMC_Xx is clearly having no issues growing anyway. I only run from seed really. Might have to cut a couple bodhi goji OG if I get a female though :)

Day 24F:

Yeah no issues here. I ran out of distilled h2o for the humi yesterday, so she might be a bit dry when I pop the cab open tonight. She did get a nice feeding last night though, so hopefully that helps.

Looking nice bro. Especially for day 26 And you don't get that horrible saggy COB leaf I'm seeing so much of in other peoples threads. I like
Thanks man! I would attribute that more to a watering/environment issue than the light source... buuuttt I'm also not really sure what you mean. She was a little limp and droopy the other day when I ran out of distilled. Humidity dropped a lot, and she looked like a wet noodle. Seems to have killed the gnats though.:bigjoint:
