coco , which I have not used for 1 year

Honestly I'm pretty unscientific about it. I buy 35% H2O2 by the gallon, so will water it down to around 3% then pour enough in to disburse throughout the medium. I'll let it sit for a while and do it's job (sometimes overnight), then flush the media with tap water. Once it's flushed I'll do a precharge of nutes around 350ppm.
Hey man, how many times do you re-use your coco and do you H2O2 rinse it every time? Have you noticed any of your coco turning mushy from it?

when I put coco in the bag, I closed everything so that there were no insects and flies, and it stayed moist, wet for 1 year. are there bacteria and germs? will it be cleaned if I wash it with ph-adjusted water?

yeah I would wash it, then re-charge and pH balance it before you use it again

it stayed wet for 1 year in a closed bag. would just water be enough to kill harmful bacteria or germs? Should I use H2O2?
Sure h202 won't hurt.

I have a 5g bucket with holes drilled in the bottom and use it as a strainer. Just leave it in the sink with water trickling thru it and turn it on and off for like 20 min at a time until you think it's good and clean. I use a garden claw to mix my coco

If your on town or city water most likely the chloramine will take care of sterilizing the coco.

If you're super worried you can squeeze the water off then microwave it or put it in the oven too. This is sterilizing
