I have 3 hlg 550s and 3 next light megas. Is it ok to daisy chain and connect to trolmaster so i can control the light schedule or do they need to be the same brand to work?

You can but I hate the fact that hlg doesn’t have com ports on them.

What is a com port? Nvm i googled it. Im not worried about dimming i just need to control the 12/12 cycle.
So they will connect using the rj12 port to my trolmaster with no problems even though they are different watts?

They don't need to be the same brand , if you want to time schedule , then just daisy chain them , if you want to dimmable control them , they need to be the dimmable models . Their drivers are dimmable first , no matter 0-10V or 1-10 V dimming . 0-10V just can dim off . Hope it can help . Happy growing .

A com port is for rj 12 which hlgs lights don't have.
