wo Toronto Police officers have been suspended in a story that includes accusations of eating seized pot edibles, tree climbing and hospital visits, too.

One officer was allegedly flying so high, he ended up in a tree.

It was actually three police officers who were taken to hospital over the weekend after a pot dispensary raid in 13 Division.

Two officers — Const. Vittorio Dominelli, a 10 year veteran, and Const. Jamie Young, who has been on the force for two years — complained of hallucinations, according to a police source. One suffered a head wound while trying to help one of the officers.

This is not a comedy sketch. And all though many coppers were cracking up over it, they also realize it’s no laughing matter.

“All three were medical emergencies,” said a police source.

It started Saturday night with a raid and seizure of a marijuana dispensary retail outlet in the Black Creek Dr.-Eglinton Ave. area. Two officers tasked with guarding evidence were later allegedly experiencing dizziness and impairment from something consumed from that stash.

After “eating” what was allegedly a seized cannabis edible, the two officers are said to have become separated. One phoned an off-duty colleague who mistook the call for it being a kidnapping and put out a call for backup.

Officers from four divisions, all buzzed in there to assist. At first they could not find either colleague. Seems the male officer was not on the ground.

“He was up in a tree,” said a police source. “Up there with the birds.”

He was actually located by an EMS paramedic who helped get him down and began to provide medical treatment.

Meanwhile, a female officer was allegedly wandering around in an altered state at great risk to herself and perhaps others, according to a source.

Toronto Police officers are investigating the incident, including whether this was a joint venture, or if one provided something to the other without that officer’s knowledge.

“Apparently she is saying she didn’t know what it was,” said a police source.

But whatever it did to her, it concerned her colleagues who are experts at dealing with people who are under the influence or stoned.

“A female officer went to help her and slipped and fell and hit her head on some ice on the roadway,” said a source.

While many on and off the job made jokes about “an evidence bag of Doritos” at the scene, and teased it would be best to “at least wait until you’re home,” others told the Toronto Sun this is a very troubling matter.

“It’s so embarrassing,” said one veteran officer. “We are arresting kids and seizing profits and product from businesses and this is how some officers (allegedly) act.”

Toronto Police spokesman Mark Pugash said “all I am able to say is that two officers are being investigated by Professional Standards.”

But Toronto Police Association President Mike McCormack said he’s been told both officers have been suspended with pay.

“I am getting calls about it and I know there’s interest, but it really is hard to comment and unfair to comment while there is an investigation underway,” he said.

But he did look into the conditions of the three officers who were taken to Sunnybrook Hospital.

“They are all fine,” said McCormack.

While things have kind of mellowed, all three woke up with headaches. Only one — the officer who provided assistance — received sympathy.

2 Toronto police officers believed to have ingested pot while on-duty have been suspended (self.canada)

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/two-toronto-police-officers-suspended-1.4509048

"Over the weekend, Toronto police carried out a raid at Community Cannabis Clinic, a marijuana dispensary at St. Clair Avenue West near Dufferin Street.

Sources tell CBC Toronto the marijuana edibles the officers ingested are believed to have come from this dispensary. It's unclear if the officers participated in the raid over the weekend."

These people have no shame (and no idea about cannabis).

Consider doing your part this year and planting 100 free cannabis seeds every where you can: http://overgrowcanada.com

Legalization isn't just for stock market weed companies, cops and government cronies. It should be for everyone.

Pathetic. The worst part, is this their first time?Have they stolen from previous business operation etc. If stealing is ok what about their credibility with evidence and any past cases convictions they handled. Friggin Pathetic. Yes not all are bad we get that but these are suppose to be our line of defence. Human or not they chose a path career with an oath. They are now thieves. Yes I have passed judgement. And I will agree with above post. I have smoked a lot of herb in my time with many a newbies and veterans. Nobody acted like that.

Again Pathetic

How stupid are these cops?
Stupid enough to get suspended with pay!!
What's the deal with that? Cops fuck up and get in trouble of all sorts and we send them home and pay them. Yup that's some punishment all right. I know....it's some fucking union thing.
But still....wouldn't we all like a deal in life where you screw up, get caught, and then get paid. Geez in that world......I'd be a dam billionaire by now!
Plus you and I pay the salaries of these fucktards. So most of us would never get that deal in life plus we loose our shirts. They win...we get Rickie's Double Wammy.

Anyway everyone join the force and immediately fuckup. Then punch out and go home to the couch and watch movies. Oh ya ...and check the account every pay day for the booty.

Were these pigs were tested and passed for mushrooms, acid and spice? If not, why not? We can't believe a couple of thieving pigs to tell the truth about what they consumed.
If I had ever been busted by these clowns in the past, I'd be filing for a re-trial.

Two Canadian Cops 'On Duty Raid Marijuana Dispensary' And
Whenever you hear about a marijuana dispensary being raided somewhere in Canada, you can’t help but think: what happens to all the cannabis and edibles being taken away?

Surely some of the police officers involved in a raid smoke weed (doesn’t everyone?) and took some for their own supply. That, or as non-smokers, they couldn’t help but be curious and see what all the love for marijuana is about.

Well, regardless of their intent, it looks like two Toronto police officers couldn’t resist the urge and decided to try some marijuana edibles taken straight from a dispensary they just raided.

Last Saturday night, two Toronto cops raided a local marijuana dispensary, as happens fairly frequently in the city. The pair (who were still on active duty) then decided to eat some of the marijuana edibles that were supposed to be taken in as evidence, reports multiple Toronto news outlets.

But, as anyone who has eaten edibles knows, it takes some time for the effects to kick in. Apparently these two cops didn’t know that factoid, and after some time passed, they decided to eat even more edibles.

And, as anyone who has eaten edibles also knows, that was a bad idea.

As you can imagine, the marijuana eventually took effect, multiplied in potency thanks to the addition of more edibles in the officer’s respective bodily systems.

Things only got weird from there.

In true “ate too many edibles now I’m clinging to dear life” fashion (we’ve all been there) the duo got panicked, calling for an ambulance and support from their fellow officers.

According to NEWSTALK 1010, when other police persons arrive on the scene, one of the edible-eating officers ran hurriedly away.

Somehow, at least one officer was taken to the hospital, but it’s not clear if that’s because they slipped and fell in the ensuring chase or some other sort of hiking ensued.

The Toronto Police Service is remaining relatively mum on the topic, only confirming that the incident did take place and two officers are officially being investigated by the Toronto police Professional Standards Unit.
