alright sgt, the light is about 8" away is this ok. Also i watered them until there was a run off out the pot is this the right way to water. Thanks
NOOOO! this is definately the reason that you are not seeing any new growth. i have all of my bulbs within about an inch of my girls. usually with cfls you can get the leaves right up next to them without burning them, provided they dont touch.
so i would definately move it closer ASAP. and again, i would invest in at least one more cfl.
you also have to remember that there isnt going to be quite as rapid growth with a cfl as there is with an HPS, but i have found that if you keep up with changing your lights and you are attentitive to your girls they can work spectacularly.
good luck man :peace:bongsmilie

I had 9 seedling under a 250w cfl cool white 6400k, j
Bulbs labelled 'Cool White' are in fact 4100k Which is all honesty is the most usless bulb on the market for growing.
It will be as effective as MOON LIGHT on your plants.

6400K are labelled "DayLight"

Is it called cool white? Or is it speciffically labeled somewhere 6500K. This could be part of your biggest problem.

My first grow i found one of those 250 bulbs and did all my research except on Colour temperature.
Those bulbs are actually 55w and are ment to replace a 250w.
IT DID NOT make my plants grow. They literally did nothing. They grew more over night in the dark!

pic 1 and 3 dnt look that bad,
the rest they are over watered let that coco really dry out before you water again, the roots need to get oxygen to them but if the soil is permenantly damp then the oxygen cant get in.
let em proper dry out before you water.dnt be tempted to water when u fink they dry, youl make it worse.the time wen u would usually water leave another 24 hrs.

trust me i had to do this and i hated nt watering my plants, there like havin a baby you wana spoil them and give them the best but then u have to learn if you allways do this then they will grow into bastards and end up witha fucked up life.hahaha

mj plants prefer to survive a drowt than survive a flood.

have they bin in those pots since they were seeds?

think i wouldv stayed wi cfl for a week to see if owt happened but i suppose u do have alot of plants for one 250w lamp.
just keep that hps at least 20 inches away.
Ya good stuff, i think i have to give you +rep again!

Have you ever seen a MJ plant survive a drought? They can be bending over sideways wilted due to lack of water, and you can saturate the soil and within an hour that plant wil be at half mast. Give it 2, and you'd never know something was wrong.

DUDE!!! Read the thread before you verbal diarria all over the place you muppet.

I was using both clf and an HPS and I saw no growth from the cfl and light green leaves while the hps just next to them thrived, i got rid of the clf on day 5 and here is a pic from day 7, you can clearly see the difference in growth in my setup anyway, also I tried the coco and found it had nothing to retain water I thought like the soil. Anyway good luck on the grow and I would stick with the Hps or even get a MH for the veg and switch to the hps for flower if your ballast can do both

OK dude i've been pondering this for a while. I think you gotta get em outta that medium, and into a good soil mix. I don't think it's holding the nutrients the plant needs. FOR ONE anyways. 2 you shouldn't need sprays, or ferts or anything for at least a whole month or even more. No need to go over board, just Good soil mix, water and sunshine.
