"My Current DIY DWC build is losing water pressure due to faulty hookups. How do you get such a good seal? I see you've applied some kind of hose and two adapters"

in this tub i have a 396gph pump and some adapters that you can get at lowes in the sprinkler section or plumbing some are setup different.their made out of gray plastic the hose is in the plumbing section to,i believe its 3/4 inch drinking water hose,u will also need a 2 inch long piece male on both sides half inch grey plastic piece for the pump..and u might want to use the glue and primer to weld the manifold together if your having trouble with pressure theres a kit at lowes for 5 or 6 bucks.. :blsmoke: heres some new pics..
Lookin good.... so those are all seed plants? or clones? You said you were sexing? Thats a shit load of plants and so close together, you must be good at LST for it would be a clusterfuck of branches all reaching for light... Do you find your 32 site has enough space between or do you wish you might have went for less?

I have the damn ecoline shitty plastic pump too, i got for 30 bucks. I know what fittings your talking about. I have a few gray male ends, Its the gluing the male piece to pvc/ or screwing it into a female piece glued into the pvc pipe? I don't know why i find that hard to get? thanks for the quick response homie...:bigjoint:

p.s. whats with the white hose? blowing air in there?

so those are all seed plants? the young ones are all seed and in the other room there are 12 clones and the rest seed.

Do you find your 32 site has enough space between or do you wish you might have went for less? i put some pics of 3 rooms using 3 aquamist systems per room with different amounts of plants and as u can see it the yields are impressive..not to mention those systems are smashed together in a 4' by 6' area where mine have the ability to sprawl out more..

"Its the gluing the male piece to pvc/ or screwing it into a female piece glued into the pvc pipe? I don't know why i find that hard to get?" there is a piece that u can get that has female for pvc and on the other end is male for 1/2 inch threads made out of white pvc..

whats with the white hose? blowing air in there? those hoses are hooked to a portable airconditioner cuz my room temp is 84 degrees and it keeps my res temps at what ever i want, currently at 63..
if you still dont understand i can take pics to show you..:bigjoint:

Just finished a DWC grow and used GH 3 part with 2 additives. I have no comparison as this was my first grow.

About to buy more nutes, any educated suggestions ?

Try Botanicaire Pro Series Roasty. Along with the diamond nectar and Kool Bloom in flower man..
Im gonna be honest man. I havent really seen many other nutes put out anything similar as far as end results. LOL why I dunno they just seem to work well in DWC and they are all organic and cheap compared to some of the high dollar nutes that burned my plants.

Welcome to RIU.

That's a big res. to take care of for someone who doesn't know how far from the plant the light should be.

I would start at about 18 inches away to and then lower it slightly over a few days as long as there are no negative effects( browing, bleaching, etc.) on the plant. Remember that in flowering the plant is also growing toward the light so the light will need to be raised on a regular basis after you figure out the distance from the light that your plants like.

Good Luck.

u can watch me do my first run and even guess but i would wait till we see how many juicyfruit seeds germ..:blsmoke:

*GUESS for DOUGH SHOW*

i'm just going by this setup its the same size and almost the same in every aspect actually, accept price i now i wont get 2 pounds per tub on the first run since i'm using seed and its my 1st time growing like this but if this guy can start with 300 clones(in the 1st pic) and only weed out 100 cuz of smothering thats 200 in a 4' by 6' area my setup is more like the last room and theres a good chance i wouldn't get it on the 1st try with clones either i dont want to set the bar to high on my 1st jump but i dont think that their to close together u just have to tuck fan leaves..the pics are from the seemorebuds video that gardenknowm speaks of.. his videos come highly recomended, from me anyways...

What kind of airstones are you guys using ? Everyone I seem to get clogs up in about a week so I'm thinking there has to be something better.

I just use the cheapest ones they had a petco. It's been 8 weeks and no clog at all.

What kind of nutrients are you using and how often do you change your water, that might be the problem?

I use Dutch Mater nutes and completely drain the rez every 8 days.

Hey whats up DWC users, try see if anybody could answer these question of mine.
I've done aeroponics, hated it, I'm doing ebbNflow and liked it. Lately I have built two 5 gallon bucket DWC for mothers eventually and I wondering why people put their air pumps on timers.

are you using the ceramic ones ? I picked up one of those the other day to try. The ones I was using was for underground filters becuase they put out a lot of bubbles. but seem to clog too fast. I use botonicare nutes.

The ones I use are the sand ones... maybe your airpump is too small for your rez??? I don't know why you would have such problems.

What temps are your rez water at?

Mine stays below 64 F.

LA9.... I'm totally full of shit...

I didn't mean to lie, but I was thinking about my airstones and thought I would test them to make sure they were not clogged...

The 1" airstones are completely blocked. I can't see them, I'm using a scrog and can't get to my rez, but I tried blowing through the airhose and couldn't at all.

I HAVE NO IDEA HOW MY PLANTS ARE ALIVE ????

Sorry to lead you astray... it didn't last too long though.

HAHA, now there are two of us.... how do you keep your airstones from clogging????

Well, it isn't my pump, I have a Tetra Luft pump, it's a pretty good pump, too bad they jacked the heck out of the price on them, they used to be $25, I think they are about double that if not more now.

I don't know how to keep them from getting clogged but you can soak them in white vinegar overnight to unclog them.

Maybe someone else will have the answer, seems like a lot of people do DWC so someone must know the answer.

I'm not currently using a DWC setup, just trying to figure out the problems before I try again and that was one of the biggest problems I was having, I didn't feel like using a new airstone every week, seems too expensive to go the route.

LA9 bro whaddup man. Long time no see bro.
Far as stones man. I change mine out about 3 times before harvest time man.
I use the cheapies from walmart or the dro store and just snatch um up whenever i get the chance.
Theres so much to oxygen concentration in hydro man. Cooler res does not neccesarily require the same amount of oxygen as a res running at higher temps.

Even then man a couple cheapy 20-30 gallon whisper pumps will also do the job in an 18 gallon res even in high temps with 8 inch air stones man..

Costs me about 8 bux in stones to achieve harvest man. My res temps touch higher 70's.
Ph is key and giving ur plants the nutrients they need by stage.
Im barely working on this tho.
The rest is tested.

Wow thats a really impressive set up nice job ! I am new to DWC and was wondering where i can find the best setup for a DWC grow ? I planning on using a 2*3.5*6 FT closet and just cant decide what route to take any help would be much appreciated !
