Wow Fim'ing AND Supercropping, interesting stuff Demon, and nice pics, always looks like a bit of a mess when you just did something like that, but Ive never tried Supercropping myself and will be interesting to see this.

well the PC and LB are going to be kinda short and fat, where the other strain is a tall lanky bish. so why not bring the tall lanky bish to the shorty level. kinda like fighting a guy taller and bigger than you, you take their knees out, and it levels the playing field. or in my case, the canopy. i looked at them this am, they are not dieing. the sc'd layover top part growth has already started reaching for the light. which is a good sign, imo. i hope. if i sc again, ill do it slightly different. it was a spur of the moment decision, after i watered and was draining the catch pans. i thought fak it, lets level the canopy. nice good pinch(s), slight twist, and you have a sc plant. wait 2-3 days for ball to form. i did split the outer stem a tad. its only a "flesh wound". from what ive read it common and happens with no ill effects. the stem NEVER split, just the outer skin.

granted this is still my first grow. but i like trying different ways to get a better yeild. i have 4 more of the "unknown strain" (either NL13 or KKSC, wish i knew which it was), and may try another type of training tech. so if i bished up the sc'ing on the unknown strain (3), i have 4 more to take its place.

hoping for 2 more weeks on the PC and LB, then FIM'n again, then 2-3 more then time to flip. once i flip, ill put the unknown strain in there as well.

i tell you what. in the beginning when i was growing from seed it was really BORING and discouraging. to the point i was gonna give up, as 4 seeds never didnt pop and thought growing was gonna suck ass, and i should have just stayed buying instead of growing. NOW i actually have plants that are growing, and i have things to do on a daily basis, its more FUN and enjoyable. and it helps my stress and anger issues....even a small bit helps.

6/19 update

Feed ALL my girls today with 1/2 strenght Technaflora recipe for success nute system. i gave them a 1/4 strength last time, and they seemed to love it. go i went a little bigger this round. looked in on them this morning and no sign of wilting or burn.

i also did some plant maintinence last night. i got rid of the unneeded undergrowth of the small leaves to open up the caopy for more light pepentration. getting ready to flip in one more week. All 7 plants will go into flower (2 PC, 2 LB, and 3 nl13 or KKSC(which ever strain it is)). ill do some LST'n with the PC and LB this weekend.

saturday ill also be taking some clones form the PC, LB, and NL13/KKSC plants and get them going.

the straggler seedling is also doing GREAT. the little plant that could is making a great run for the skies, or in my case my cool tube. lol

thanks again for checking out my grow.

Everything looking spot on Demon, I'm interested in your feeding schedule as there is not the faintest hint of yellowing lower leaves and this is my own downfall due I think to by organic Biobizz nutes, so I'm always hunting for alternative better systems. I will also be keen to see how your attempts at LST turn out, I had good results when I tried it for the first time on my own grow just now, which only has a couple of weeks to go. Glad you now regard growing as a chilled out pastime rather than a stressful one.

thank again Bilbo for checking in.

my water/feed schedule is feed-water-water-feed. im using the technaflora recipe for success nute kit (free). thats the ONLY reason im using this nute system. my initial feeding was at 1/4 strenght to see how the girls reacted to nutes from getting their nutes from the FFOF soil in the past. they liked it. my last feeding i gave them 1/2 strength. once again they seem to like it. i have very minimal leaf spots, but i think its from the light. i move it up daily, as i like to keep it close for the best light penetration and absorbtion. sometimes i move it 2x a day. it also seems every day these plants are growing tall and fast. im going to introduce some unsulphered mollassas on my next watering. then the scheduling will be feed-water-mollassas/water-feed on ALL the girls. ill do this all thru last week of veg cycle and all thru flowering.

todays goal in the basement/grow room is moving veg tent over 3 feet further away from my flower tent. LSTing the 2 PC, 2 LB, and other 3 plants (NL13 or KKSC). i already opened up the lower canopy and lollipopped them. it appears on the LB and PC there will be many nice bud sites. the FIM'ing went great. NICE top growth of new potential colas. totally enclosing/light proofing the flower tent with 6mil black visquine(sp) plastic sheeting. finishing my HUGE carbon scrubber and installing it in the flower tent. and some other odds and ends to finish the flower tent for the gorls transition next weekend.

im also taking cuttings today of the PC, LB, and nl13/KKSC plants and putting them in my 25 site aero cloner. this round im adding an air stone for added o2 enrichment in the cloner. ill post up some pics as i go along. especially my DIY carbon scrubber. its a monster (over 2 1/2 feet tall).

thanks again everyone. these girls are getting more thirsty every day. i just fed them 2 days ago, and they aready need watering. ill let them go until tomorrow morning. and they are getting tall. next week deffinately going into flower. im limited to a 7' tent ceiling, not counting my hood height, im guessing 6' max.

heres the pics and list of todays grow maintinence adventures.

I LST'd ALL my plants. 2 pineapple chunk, 2 laughing buddah, and 3 nl13/KKSC (what ever strain it is). i hope i did the LST correctly. it looks good (imo), and all the bent over branches should reach for the light in a day or 2.

i also took some cuttings from all 3 strains. currently have them under 2 4' T8 6500k light fixture (24/7) in an aero cloner machine. in the 2.5 gallons of 6.5 ph'd water i have 8ml of regent a root hormone, and 5ml of technaflora RED B1 nute additive. i also added a small air stone and is bubbling away. last cloning session i didnt run the bubble stone, going to try it out this time and see if i get faster results. ALL of my water is air bubbled with 2 large stones 24/7 in an 18 gallon res.

pic 1 is before LST
pics 2-6 is after LST
pics 7-8 is of the cuttings.

did a molassas (organic unsulph) feed today to all the plants. 1 tblsp per 1 gallon of 6.5ph'd water. ive read alot of good things about it. so why not give it a shot. new water regimine is feed/molassas/water/feed/water/water/feed/molassas/water/feed/water/water. im finding im watering every 3rd day. the girls must be growing nice and strong. out of 7 3 gallon pots and 1 1 gallon, im using just about 3 gallons of water in total with minimal fun off (about 1/8" runoff in 12" clear plastic elcheapo catch saucer).

Interesting stuff going on there Demon, you are setting the groundwork for future bud sites with the LST going on at a good early time. Like the mugs holding the cuttings. Interesting quite intensive cloning regime you got going there, I just bung them in rockwool cubes and keep them in a propogator

thanks BB.

i have a 50 site humidome and r/r cubes as well. but i only use them for starting seeds. i like the cloner better for cuttings as it has a mister bar, air stone, and water heater. last time i did some cuttings i had about a 90% or better success rate, and potted them in a little over 8 days (iirc). im shooting for 100% success rate this go around, as i didnt take alot of cuttings of the PC or LB. fingers crossed. the coffee mugs were a rush decision to put the cuttings in untill i was ready to get them going.

im just about finished getting my basement, flower tent, and everything else all dialed in and ready to go to switch to flower.

sorry everyone, its been one hell of a week. spent all week prepping and dialing in the flower tent to make the flip. holy shit do those HPS bulbs burn HOTTTTT! dayum, actually dayum is NOT the word(s) I want to use. I had to totally reconfigure the flower room. it now consists of the following: 4x4x7 tent, 600w 6"ac tube with the fan PULLING air (had it pushing), 1 8" 420 cfm intake fan, 1 8" 420 cfm exhaust fan (both same kind of fans), 3 5" clip type fans (might remove to try and lower temps), 1 18" oscillating modded and hung from roof blowing across the ac tube to help remove more heat. w/o fan I was running 85/86*. with fan im running 81*. I had to eliminate the carbon scrubber from the tent as I couldn't get temps down. now heres where it gets interesting. I have a 4" dryer duct 5' fro my tents. im going to use an angled Y splitter and patch into the dryer line. one end with be a back draft damper hooked to the dryer line, the other split will have my 6" 440cfm ventech fan with carbon scrubber and venting out under my wood deck out back. this will do two things, eliminate odor as well as remove heat from my basement. this should be good for 1-2* max cooler temps, im guessing. anyway, the 7 girls are now in the flower room, and hanging out in 81* (lights on) tent soaking in the intense light. I was thinking of running a portable a/c, but I don't really have 7 amps to spare for my allotted electrical wiring. then was gonna go the LED route, but for 1000 for the light I want, ill pass.

anyways, hers the update for6/29. sorry its ben a little late.

cuttings/clones:
cut 6/25
I now have 25 cuttings in my aero cloner of PC, LB and nl13/kksc
I change the water every 2-3 days max.
water consists of 8ml regent a root hormone, 6.5ph water, and an air stone
tomorrow I might pot up a few of hem as the roots are about 2+" already.

Plant update:
2 PC, 2LB, and 3 nl13/kksc plants were waters on 6/26 with 6.5 ph water. 95% of the nute burn I had on 6 tops total has all gone away. so tomorrows feed will be back to 1/4 strength. still unsure if ill do one more veg feeding, or switch to flower. im also going to run into height issues, im sure of it. so, I super cropped just about every top on all 7 plants. this should keep the height down a bit, ad allow for more mid plant "fluff". it was either sc now, or cut main colas deep into flower. im 2 weeks behind fro flowering, so that's the reason for flipping so late. I may also add some SILICA to my flower watering/feedings. its supposed to help with slightly higher temps and what not. tonight will be 2 12/0 cycles, so its too early to tell if they will tolerate the heat, or if I need to do something different.

my LB #3 seeding/straggler is doing Awesome!!!!!! somehow it has 2 main stems, or appears to have 2 mains. I FIM'd it last week, and I super cropped all the big stems. she is all alone in the veg tent. poor girl all by herself and no one to talk to. hopefully I get a high clone success rate and can fill the veg tent up and give her some company.

m computer is in for service, so no pics at ths time. sorry.

no worries bro.

update for 6/30:

fed all the girl in the flower room. 2 PC, 2 LB, and 3 NL13/KKSC plants. fed them with 1/4 strength technflora FLOWER nutes, and added 1/4 tsp (1.25ml) of SILICA. this is to help plants acclimate to the 81* lights on flower tent temps. it seems one plant is always a little touchy to my feedings. so I might have to go a little easier on this single plant. im also finding im watering every other day now. tues should be my next day. ill feed a mollassas (5ml/gal) feeding. the tent is filling out nicely, ad the girls are growing very nicely.

the LB straggler is coming around, and getting big. I uppotted her ito a 3 gallon pot and gave her some fresh FFOF soil (amended), and watered her with silica (3/4ml) added to 1/2 gallon of 6.5 water

the cuttings are rooting very nicely. nice root growth, ad pure white roots. I may pot some of them today if I have time. if not, tomorrow. will be potted in red solo cups, drain hold drilled, and in 1/2 FFOF on bottom of cup, and FFLW on he top half. the will place in my veg tent under 600w 18/6.

as far as rood design, I added an exhaust my basement. I took a 440 cfm ventech fan, tapped into my dryer duct, and sucking out some basement air. as soon as the flower room starts gtting stinky, ill add in my monster carbon scrubber.

Looking good, heat is a bitch, I almost didn't do a summer grow but then I saw a clone I "had" to have :)

What is your ambient temp? 81F is not bad at all, cooler might be a little better, but I am stoked I got mine down to 82.

its holding at 81. been that high for the last 3 days running 12/12. so I think ill be ok for the time being. as far as height and being a few weeks behind on flipping is another story.

I have a slight nute burn on a few new growth tops. I think ill change up my water/feed cycling. ill do the 1/4 nute (nothing else) feed, water with silica added, mollassas + silica added, feed. this cycle might work out better for them.

with the LB (runt/straggler) that's lonely in the veg tent, im gonna try some training technics. I already FIM'd the main and side stalk (looks like twin stalks), then I super cropped every top/branch on her.

Glad everythings sorted demon, I had bother with temps in my closet and still have to leave the door open a bit during lights on. 81 degrees will do them no harm at all.

heres some pics everyone. PC, LB, and nl13 are now dancing in the flower room. vip section only. lol the girls seem to be loving it. i gave them their 1st dose of flower nutes per the technaflora recipe for success feeding. i did a 1/4 strength feed. im also adding silica into my water/feed regimen. 1/4 tsp per gallon of water. im only adding silica on water and water/molasses feed cycles. i think i have the temps stabilized. day 3 and still holding at 81*. im happy with that. better than 86*+ i was having. the 2 PB, 2 LB, and 3 nl13 plants are coming along very nicely. i supercropped every stalk to try and stung their height. i may run into height issues.....maby. im using 3 gallons of water when feeding for the 7 girls. who are all in 3 gallon pots. this is with minimal runoff. the old nute burn went away after a watering. after this feeding, its back on the same plant on the same newer/old growth. i don't think its anything to worry about. i added silica to the flower nutes, so i think if i omit the silica from the feeding water i should be ok. we'll see next feed cycle.

the lonely LB still in veg is growing very nicely. not sure why she is this far behind they others in the flower room. but im happy she has taken off. i fimmed and supercropped all her stems. i might just play around with this one and see what happens.

the clones are doing nicely as well. ill be potting some of them after work tomorrow. nice white large hairy roots. they are going into red solo cups with FFOF soil, then pout in the veg tent.

some pics of the VIP flower room.
