happy 4th of July everyone!!

this is a clone update. I potted a number of them in red solo cups with FFOF amended soil. they are 9 days from cutting from the plant. some were taken a few days later when I was doing some preflower maintenance. 15 transplanted clones all have nice healthy roots. nice pure white and hairy roots. I hope they like their new soil home. they are going into the veg tent under 18/6 to keep the straggler LB #3) company. watered with 6.5 ph'd soil. ill do the water regimen as follows: water, water/molasses, water, water, water/molasses. sounds like a good plan anyways.

not too bad for 9 days from cutting to transplant. my cloner water is 4ml per gallon of ph water of regent a root hormone x 2.5 gallons. water ph is 6.5. sorry for the messy work station. been super busy lately

to be honest, out of the 13 that rooted/potted, those were the 3 best rooted clones. so had to take pics. all the rest had 3" and plenty of side roots and hairs. lol I think I have 12 more left in the cloner machine. most will be gifted to fellow growers, and a few will be traded for some Pineapple Express clones. a strain which ive been wanting to put in my grow tent for a while now.

yesterday I think I may have made a big error. I was cleaning out my dryer duct work as it was severly clogged. I forgot to shut down my tents, and close off all the openings. well my intake fans sucked some vent dust into the tents. not my plants have a very thin layer of crap on them. so its either wipe each leaf/stem/stalk, ect off of all 7 plants in the flower room, then my single LB #3 plant in veg, or take them to my garage and gently hose them off. either way I don't think its good for the leaves/plant to have this on them.

stupid me.

also have a construction buddy of mine coming out on sunday to drill a hole in the wall (5") so I can run a 4" dryer vent. this way I can hook up an exhaust line and my carbon scrubber and vent outside under my deck. I tried to tap into my dryer line, but it didn't work out very well. all in all, this project will set me back about 75.00 in materials and 75.00 in labor. im hoping this helps evacuate some basement air as well as the flower room smell.

nope, now I do. I put some queen size panty hose over the intake. no worries. ill take them to the garage, hose them down, and wipe them off. it will give me some more one on one time with my girls. not that I don't already spend enough quality time grooming, feeding, watering and talking to them. lol

ive been growing in my basement since may 2nd of this year. ive yet to see one bug in my basement or grow area. I do spray heavily outside the perimeter of my condo, as well as spreading diamecious (sp) earth around my garage to help stop those pesky carpenter ants that roam around.

today I have a HUGE goal in the basement. thoroughly cleaning my basement from ceiling to floor, then wiping down every plant. my entire flower room has a fine power of dryer duct lint from my huge dumbass mishap. plan on getting a fogger or a mister/spray bottle and wiping each girls down from top to bottom x7 plants in my flower room, and 1x in my veg room. then wiping down the inside of the tents. this time all fans will be OFF, and my exhaust fan will be running wide open.

since im wiping down all the girls, I have 2 packs of cal-carb foliar spray additive I may add to the underside of the leaves. im not budding yet, so I think ill be safe spraying and wiping the flowering girls down. what a bone head move, I didn't think about the dryer duct dust causing this much trouble. kinda wish I just had removed all 20' of dusting and did it outside. oh well, hindsight is 20/20. too bad I cant wipe down my flower girls until after 7pm tonight (7p to 7a is my light cycle). this will also give me a opportunity to put some stakes in the pots to try and open up the canopy a bit more.

so I spent 10 hours in the basement today cleaning up my mess. holy shit was that a lot of work. wiped down everything from ceiling to floor, broke down the tents, and inside the ducting for my fans. I have to go back tomorrow and wipe down the plants a little better. theres still a small amount of residue on the leaves. now I kinda know how the growers that get bugs and have to tear everything down and clean. its a major PITA, that's for sure. made a new fan mount today. the one that blows under the cool tube. I wrapped the metal fan post with wax paper, then filled a 2gallon jug (est) with concrete (quick set), placed the wax paper wrapped fan post into the concrete and secure in place until it sets. viola, new fan post mount. now I have more placement options in the tent.

now I did get personal with my flowering plants tonight. they are coming along very nicely. excellent growth. the clones are growing nicely as well as the LB #3 in the veg tent. she takes very well to supercropping. I wish I had room in the flower room for her, but 7-3gallon pots fill up the room snugly.

and watered + silica all the girls in flower and the lb in veg.

7/7 sunday update.

veg tent: LB #2 straggler is doing awesome. she really likes getting sc'd. I wish I thought of it earlier, I would have liked to try the technic called mainlining. it looks very interesting. maby with a couple of my clones. the clones in solo cups seem to be adjusting to life in soil and not water.

flower room aka club DT (lol):
ALL are doing fantastic. the stretch is upon them and they are growing and growing. I did some lollipopping to all of them. to open up so the lower buds can get some light. and wiped down the leaves one more time. now all the girls are leaf clean happy. I am now having to water every other day. shit, I could water them daily if I wanted to. I watered to about 10% run-off. so tomorrow ill water a little slower and see if I cant saturate things for them. the pots are heavy after watering, and super light when needing water. I water with silica every watering, minus feeding. im also switching my water feed regimen. feed, water/silica, water/molasses, water/silica, feed. everytime I feed 1/4 strength, I get nute burn on the new growth only, not the old growth. its only the tips, about 1/4" down the very edge.

pic 2 is a couple days ago. pic 3 is today. nice beginning to the stretch.

also forgot to mention, I thoroughly inspected all 7 plants for any hermies. all 7 appear to be girls. and the tent is starting to have that smell we all love to hate at this point. today after work ill attatch my monster carbon scrubber to my 6" 440 cfm fan. the scrubber has a 6" inlet x 8"w x 32"L and 180oz of premium activated charcoal. ill post a pic after work today. also going to get some ona gel as a 2nd measure.

FED the girls tonight 1/4 strength technaflora recipe for success flower nutes. I stopped by the grow shop to talk to the guys for a minute. I asked him about watering every other day, and he said I might be root bound. I am in 3 gallon pots, and im sure he is correct. I have zero room to up-pot and I think its a little late in the season to up-pot due to the stress it might cause while in flower. so they'll have to do with their current 3 gal pots. the temps are still holding at 81* and 51% r/h. im going to route an ac duct to the intake area of my tent in the next couple days. ill see if the temp and humidity go down a bit. if not, ill pull the trigger on an 8000btu 6.4a portable ac/dehumidifier/fan combo for 299.00 from home depot. when I do that, Ill run a sealed tent and also run CO2. if its possible. still need to do some more research on that. ill run the ac unit outside the tent, duct the cold air into the side vent.

watering + silica all the girls tonight. usually about 4 gallons total.

watered the clones in solo cups yesterday, as well as the LB #2 in the veg tent

I routed that a/c duct to my flower room air intake. hmmm, dropped to 77* lights on. woo hoo. LOVIN that temp. now if I can only time the a/c to come on when my lights are on. I don't want them to get too cold with lights off. 73* was the low (a/c was off all day).

hey demtech, I'll be scoping that pineapple chunk. have a few single seeds waitin to pop.
your gonna LOVE it!!!!! the smell is awesome. but I do run 2 other strains (KKSC-kyle kushmen strawberry cream, PC, and laughing buddah).

the PC grow 3-5" shorter than the LB. all seeds popped at same time. I did supercrop, FIM, and lollipop the PC and LB. both strains took it very well. im 2 weeks into flower and they are forming nice buds and look o-so bad ass. lol

update for 7/12

watered all the girls in flower with 6.5 ph, 2tsp of molasses and 3ml of silica
the girls are really getting big and stretching. hoping I don't run out of room in the tent. ill post up some new pics tomorrow.

watered the LB plant in the veg tent with the same solution.

uppotted from solo cups 5 KKSC and 4 PC today to 1 gal pots with FFOF amended soil and watered with the 6.5/molasses solution.

changed cloner machine water today (change every 2 days). 2.5 gallons of 6.5ph water and 4ml/gal of regent a root hormone solution

7/14 update

I raised the nute strength from 1/4 to 1/2. gave them about 4.5 gallons of nute water for all 7 plants. the growth is looking awesome. everyday im raising the lights one or 2 clicks. I also rotate the plants 180* daily. I moved the 3 clip fans from the tent side support poles, and clipped them to the pots and facing up. hoping to blow some cool air up thru the stems and to the canopy.

checked on the girls this morning for any nute burn from my increased nute feeding last night. everything looks great. no burn on the new growth like I was previously was having. so ill go 1/2 strength for the next feeding, them might try and step it up to 3/4 strength and see what happens.

going to change the cloner machine solution today after work and up-pot 2 more PC clones from solo cups to 1.5 gal pots.

7/17 update

the girls responded well to the 1/2 strength nute feeding. NO signs of nute burn on the upper growth. so 1/2 strength fro now on. id like to raise it even more to give them some added boost mid flower. this water schedule was water + silica (silica 2.5ml/gal x 4.5 gallons). also raising the light 1 to 2 clicks every day as well as rotating then 180*. im trying to keep as low as possible with out any burn. so far so good. the bud sites are forming nicely, and are starting to show trichs on the stems and sugar leaves. nice glistening tops. and theres quite a few, actually MANY tops. FIMming and SC is deffinately the way to go with the PC and LB. the LB is still growing about 3"+ over the PC strain.

the rooted clones in veg are growing fast. and uppotting a few daily.

bagseed. well it just popped her/his head thru the soil last night. im not sure If I want to spend time growing this plant, as I do not know the sex of it and don't want to waste any time growing it. I thought about growing her out, taking a clone, rooting it, then throwing it in flower to see. but I don't know. it could be a lot of time wasted for a hermi or male. but the strain is awesome.

some build room changes will be done this weekend. I bought an 8000btu LG portable a/c unit with a 5yr 100% replacement warranty from HD (299+89 for warranty). gonna configure that this weekend, as well as setting up my carbon scrubber (the flowering girls are starting to smell o'so good). need to duct the exhaust into my new exhaust tubing and add a 4" booster fan to help it get out of my house. w/the addition of a/c, I should be able to lower tent temps enough to put my huge carbon scrubber inside my tent. but I may reduce the size of the carbon scrubber by 6". all I know is I have a ton of work and not a lot of time. we are back on 10-14hr days 6 days a week at work.

flower tent temps are 79 high and 73 low, same for veg tent.

for a 1st time grower, I think im doing a pretty damn good job so far. we'll see if its true after I harvest, cure (mason jar cure), and weigh everything out. that will be the true test.

couple new pics. 1st is the fan/carbon scrubber. she is a big scrubber indeed. other is of the ladies dancing in the breeze.
