interested if which plants are the BF pinapple chunk, im thinking about starting my next grow, wondering how this strain is, grows, and eventually turns out and smokes.... very interested ill be watching! good luck mate

the KKSC (kyle kushman strawberry cream) in ALL the flowering pics are in the middle, and are 5" taller than the other 2 strains. I switch the LB and PC from back of the tent to the front of the tent and the location varies from pic to pic. the LB are always about 3" higher than the PC in the pics.
its kinda hard to tell in the last pic I posted up whats what.

ive got a lot of work to do today and this weekend. ill get some separate pics of each strain and post them up. cant wait to get that AC pumping in there. hopefully I can tone down or remove that 18" fan blowing across the tops of the plants and under the ac tube (have a serious hot pocket there). if so, and I can tweak my intake and exhaust fans, ill toss in some C02 for the last 5 weeks or so of flowering.

7/20 update

watered all the girls today with 1.5tsp of molasses today and 6.5ph bubbled water. the pics of the plants are my LB strain as requested. sorry I couldn't get better, but was busy in the grow room tonight.


I also added a new feature to the flower room. I added an LG 8000btu A/C unit to the mix. so far im still dialing it in. I have it placed outside and a make shift vent blowing it into my intake fan. I still need to keep the big 18" fan blowing across the bottom of the coot tube for now. before it was on high, now its on low and keeping temps at 77*. my lows are 72 +/-1*.

They are going to love that AC! nice man.

hit the girls with 3/4 strength nutes this time around. they ate up the last 1/2 strength, so I figured what the hell. hope they take it, as I want to start beefing them up (if at all possible). they also like the ac very much. 75* lights on, 73* lights off, but I have a 70* for 10 mins before lights on. I need to tweak my ac timer a bit so theres no real overlap. the flowers are looking nice. a lot of glistening on the sugar leaves, ect. every day im raising the light. 2 clicks on the pulley.

lol here ya go. we've been back on 12 hr days 6 days a week. they loved the 3/4 strength nute feeding the other day. gonna crank her up to 100% next feeding.

pics 1/2/3 are the pineapple chunk. they are not growing like my laughing buddah plants are. the buds are a bit smaller, the plant itself is about 4" shorter. both strains popped same time, same uppotting times, same amended FFOF soil, ect. genetics I suppose. and notice the 10 colas on the one PC, gotta love FIM'ing. ive got 9 on the other one.

pics 4/5 are the KKSC (kyle kushman strawberry cream). nice big buds. these 3 plants are a good 6" plus higher than the PC and LB. tomorrow im going to have to do some tying up and maintenance.

I got my new 6" 440 cfm fan for my carbon scrubber. gonna mount it up in the flower room and get rid of the other 8" 420 cfm exhaust fan. im starting to smell the grow upstairs. im hoping my temps stay the same with the new scrubber and fan setup. if not ill just turn the ac on high and hope my temps stay at the 75* number im getting now.

I finally straightened up my veg tent, and the next perpetual cycle has begun. up-potted 2 PC, 2 LB, and 2 KKSC plants from 1.5 gal to 5 gal pots. last round I put them into flower in 3 gal pots. the pineapple express seedling is going about as good as a seedling can be doing. 3 more days and the dome comes off. its been stuc in the corner as to not cook the shit out of it under the 600w mh light in the veg tent. need to get more soil, mycorizae (great white), perlite, and dolomite lime soil mix made up to top off the pots.

scrubber update.
I got everything mounted up and what not. I think I may have to chop 4" from the length of the scrubber off, as the 6" 440cfm fan doesn't have the balls to pull enough air for my liking. so by taking 4" off the 30"l it currently has should allow the fan to work more efficiently and pull more air out of the tent. today is flower room watering/molasses day, so ill tackle the scrubber job on Wednesday after work.

8/2 update

fed the girls full strength nutes yesterday. haven't had a chance yet to look in on them today. will do a bit later. got my carbon scrubber and new 8" 720cfm fan going and have pretty decent neg pressure. no more smell in the house. woo hoo! the 7 girls are coming along very well. the colas are filling in nicely, and the trichs are glistening.

going to super crop the veg plants again today. then next week FIMing them. then start lollipopping them.

8/4 update

fed the flowering girls today with 5ml/1 gal of 6.5 h2o of Density additive (.01/.01/.01). got it from my guy at the grow shop. the full strength feeding last feeding took very well. the old schedule was feed, water/molassas, water, feed. the new one is feed (full strength now), water/molasses, water/5ml/gal density, feed (full strength).

they are getting close. I took a peak at the trichs on sunday. they are still clear. the bud sites are packing it on and getting more compact. the white hairs are slowly retracting when I looked in on them this am. im guessing 2 more weeks +/-.


the veg room is looking great. the next round of plants to flip will be ready as soon as the flowering ones are out. ive FIM'd, supercropped and lollipopped them. doing more FIMing today after work, then a good lollipopping, then one more supercrop session. then they should be ready to flip. we'll see how they like the 5 gal pots vs this grows 3 gal pots.

update on my carbon scrubber. the new 8" 720cfm fan on full power is working very well. no more smell in my basement/house, minus the veg room smell. go im real happy with that, as is the wife.

ill try and get some pics today or tomorrow. ill also give it a shot to get some pics thru the scope of the trich production. not sure how they will come out.

almost forgot, the pineapple Express bag seed is coming along nicely. I now have 2 sets of leaves, albeit they are very small. I top dressed the solo cup with FFOF soil (about 1/8" topping) to give it just a little taste of some good soil. the dome was removed 3 days ago, and its still under 18/6 of MH light. its slightly shaded byt the other veg plants so it doesn't get light burn or heat burn. veg temps are 77* lights on

I can dig it. What are we in week 6 already? No wait time because of the veg tent has to be nice. Keep it up buddy we're in the final stretch now.

dayum, has it been that long already (6/28 flip)? for the last week or so ive noticed a HUGE amount of yellowing fan leaves from top to bottom of the plants. im wondering if I should add a bit more N to my feed today, or should I let them run their course and feed the buds then fall off and die. then got a little green in them after I fed them on sunday. I noticed this am that some (very small amount) of the white hairs are turning red and receding back. looks like they are starting to mature. still kicking 73*-75* lights on temps w/48-50% r/h and 70* lights off temps. I don't think I could get any better. I wish I could try the C02 route next go around.....we'll see.

Day 47 I do believe. At this point I'd let the yellowing go and continue to follow my normal regimen. IMO you could take them as early as nine days or wait until around day 60. What's the plan were you taking them off looks or Trich's?

going by trichs. gonna look at them again today. im trying to follow technaflora's nute recipe. it calls for the last week of flowering regemin: 3 days of magical 2.5ml/gal and 40ml/gal of sugar daddy, then 4 days of flushing.

gonna hit them with another round of full strength nutes tonight. ill get a few pics as well and post them up later.

did some more FIM'ing to the veg room today. they are looking nice, and cant wait to flip. hoping in a week to 2 weeks max.

I did a trich check today. I cut about a 1/2 sugar leaf from the top colas on each of the 3 plants. it was a small portion of the leaf. I found at least 2-3 amber trichs on each one. It looked like milky trichs, and only a small amount of clear. its really hard to tell with my loupe. today after work ill begin my flushing regimen per technafloras recipe ive been following. 2.5ml of magical and 40ml of sugar daddy per gal of ph'd water for the first 3 days, followed by 4 straight days of flushing. ill be making my 5 gal flushing buckets tonight after work. there is a huge debate on weather flushing is needed or not. im going to flush. I don't believe one way is better than the other, its all grower preference.


edit: apparently you cant judge the trich rate by looking at 1/2 a sugar leaf. I bought a 60-100 power w/focus/light scope yesterday and checked the colas. it looks like they are still all clear. im guessing im still 2 weeks away from chopping.

8/17 update

today is week 7 since flipping. so in actuality its week 6 since the first week since flipping is a transition period and no real growth. BF website states its a 8*10 week flower time until harvest. being a 1st time grower, im finding myself looking and thinking I need to chop, then looking again and thinking I need to hold off. im getting a little more grey hair daily. lol I think after I get this 1st run under my belt, ill have more experience in determining on when to chop. then comes harvesting and curing. that's another entire learning exp in its self. which ive been reading up on daily.

anyways, back to the grow details. like I said, this is week 7. the plants are looks AWESOME!!!!!!! im getting about 50% of the leaves turning yellow, and go slightly green tinge after a feeding. then back to yellow a few days after. from my searching, this is normal. the buds and sugar leaves are glistening very nice, and the smell is fantastic. the buds are fattening up, and are BIG!! well in my eyes their big. others may not agree. lol ive been adding a density .01/.01/.01 additive 1x a week in my watering schedule. was given to me to try from my guy at the store. I cant say for sure if it does anything, but it hasn't hurt my girls so why not. I wish I could tell how long I have left before I need to chop. I cut a sugar leaf and inspected the trichs. still looks mostly clear, with some cloudy and a few amber. looking on the buds, looks clear. I have about 10% of the hairs turning red, 80% of all hairs are receding back into the bud site. im shooting for 10% amber, 80% cloudy, 10% clear. if that's even possible for a newb.

my last week in my nute regimen is 3 days straight of 40ml of sugar daddy to 1 gal of water, then 4 days of flushing. I bought 2-31 gallon toughneck containers for water reservoirs and an 18 gal. so I have 80 gallons of air bubbled water at my disposal. each water "tank" has its own double air bubbler with 2 large air stones running 24/7.

the temps are still holding perfect at 73-75* lights on and 71-73* lights off and 40-50% R/H (max low and max high). im glad I dropped the hammer on that A/C unit. I am having an issue with the 6" 440 cfm fan I use to help exhaust the a/c exhaust out of my house. I think the heat has damaged the fan. its making very bad noises when running. im going to pull it apart today and see whats going on with it. I might need to source a fan that can take the hot a/c exhaust temps, if they even make one.

im pulling cuttings today. and my veg plants will be ready as soon as my flower plants are chopped. they are looking nice. ive been FIMing them, then SC, then Lollipoping them every week. im trying to time everything into a good perpetual cycle. I think im off by a week to a week and a half tho. ill get it all dialed in soon.

my pineapple chunk bagseed seedling is growing nicely. I have 4 nice small leaf sets. its still in the solo cup and under 18/6 MH in the veg tent.

strain update:
kyle kushman strawberry cream: this is one hell of a plant. awesome growth, HUGE colas, HUGE buds, HUGE trichs, Im LOVIN it so far. it does get out of control a bit when growing. will need to be staked to keep colas from falling over, which mine are doing.

BF laughing Buddah: awesome plant. nice large huge colas, big buds, grows tall

BF Pineapple chunk: not too impressed. likes Fimming (1 plant has 11 tops), small buds, 6" shorter than other 2 strains, not impressed by bud size, ect. may only run 1 of this plant on my next run.

the laughing budda sugar leaves are turning purple. I think im 1-2 weeks out from chopping. i looked at the trichs on all plants and most all are still clear, but some cloudy. 80 clear 20 cloudy im guessing. No amber on bud sites, but theres some amber on sugar leaves.
