I have some left over blurple pcbs with a "Bloom" channel. 660's and IR. 36 on each board. I think they're 3w epistar's. Wanted to spread them out and under power them.
the real advantage to the newer reds are their hi efficiency. on a straight PPF basis, old reds on cheap blurples are less efficient than almost any white phosphor from last year or two (esp the epistars)

It looks more like a commercial all-in-one spectrum because there's too much blue in the spectrum and almost no far-red. I can only hope they will come with different kelvins and monos for different kind of crops.
More like 10PAR/w/m² of blue light is simply not needed for the flowering stage. More than 15PAR/w would only increase the flowering cycle and would lead to unnatural short and bushy plants and more foxtailing.
4000°k/CRI80 plus 660+730nm would be much better siuted for our porpouses.
Also 4k/CRI90 + 660nm would be much much better!
Such strips would have more than enough blue for compact growth, a lot of red and deep-red to drive photosyntesis efficiently and a certain amount of far-red to even out photosynthesis on photosyntese system I and PS-II.

PPE would be only a little lower but on the other hand you get higher YPF/w performance from the lower kelvins so efficiency wise its probably a wash. But the spectrum would be much better siuted for flowering.

Enhanced 5-65k is the way to go IMO. Brings you closest to the sun. Also is perfect for full cycle.
If you're going to add red I think the extra blue balances it out.

Rooms that bloom under 5000K look incredible! I wanted the 5700K bridgelux but they were out so I splurged on a bunch of the 5000K. 3500K is boring to look at after 2 years, time for some pretty color.

Yup. You'll see. You know I role with the comp that does the actual testing on grows & has been enhancing wh/ on the mkt fir the past 5 yrs. But they'll all work. I like the colors & Terps I get from the 65ks. Allot like adding MH at the end of flower. Plus 5he plants getting everything it needs in spectrum to activate & express full morphology & traits.

They will probably be way overpriced and it's much simpler and cheaper for people to add red that already own qb's and strips. I haven't tried adding 660's myself but there are a lot of options out now.
Good thing Samsung publishes their design files in DWG format :)

Lol. For sure. I've grown with all 6400 and 10,000k mixed and they grew just fine. Yield was a little less than the mixed spectrum grows I've done. Not by much.

Anywhere between 3000k and about 6500k. Has enough red and blues to balance out.

I've said it before. Mixed spectrum works the best but about any of them will grow pot.

If I had to choose one spectrum, I like the 4000k 90 cri cobs.

Numbers and what not are fine. It's just some of us understand the numbers don't always match real life.

I can you many a time when I was in the military engineers would say the numbers don't lie or this part was designed for such and such. Yea. Ok. Half the time I would have to fix thier screwups.

Not saying graphs, charts and numbers lie. Just saying sometimes what the numbers say and real life don't match up.
