Vipar Spectra XS 1500 Pro ( 2023 model )

Hey Budz, can you let us know about the grow area? Looks like you just threw up some cardboard around the light and that’s it. No fans, filters, light leakage concerns, etc. I’m wondering if I can do something with all the 1/4” plywood sitting around in my garage, rather than buying a tent.

I had to improvise a 2x2 grow space - had no available tents . But , the purpose of test was to mimic a typical 2x2 grow.

You have many choices for your own grow needs - tent / closet / cabinet or DIY grow space. Building a space instead of buying a simple tent sounds unnecessary. It would probably be a better cost option.

Thanks.

Options I’m looking at: 2x2x6, 28”x28”x63, and 3x3x70” but still not sure which to get for this single light.
My 2¢ -

If looking to start in a 2x2 setup then want to “ expand “ ( adding another xs1500 pro ) then I would say a 3x3 tent.
This gives you the space to run a 2x2 size right now then be able to already have space to upscale that light.

New Grow :

Since testing this fine little LED lamp , decided to sprout some more plants and run the Xs1500 pro again.

Currently, i am running 4 solo cup as germination starters . Banana blaze autos and Wonder Pie.

All of the little ladies are loving the light.
New baby leaf sets starting up. The coco cups ( black containers) were fed again today with a mild feed ( 550ish PPM ) .

There is nominal stretch but nothing a good transplant will correct , when time is right.
