Yes. I save seed and have probably close to 50-60 plants started from seed this year. But this was such a stellar plant and being a hybrid the other seeds may not be the same. How many jalapeño plants do you know of the get 7’ tall in a 5gal bucket. I bet zero. Not to mention once I set it out after last frost it will be a mature full size plant or tree. Plus it’s fun, this is just a hobby to me.

So i have 36 plants going right now, they are all exactly the same variety and are in the same growing medium, I have noticed some things, thought this might a good spot to mention it.

The setup as follows:

2 tables at 3x12 feet

each table has 3 light fixtures on it for a total of 6. Each table is broken up into sections of 3x4 in size for lighting purposes.

i am running:
3 - Getian cobs fixtures, each fixture has 10 cobs running about 55 watts per cob, 550 watts (all 3500k)
1 - vero 29 with 8 cobs at 550 watts (4 - 3k, 4- 4k)
1 - doubled ended CMH bulb at 600 watts (3100k)
1 - mixed spectrum quantum fixture at about 550 watts (2 - 3k, 1 - 4k, 1 - 5k)

I have noticed that the plants under the CMH and Quantum fixture are doing far better. They are fuller and healthier looking. Everything is starting to flower and fruit now. I will do a second appraisal in a couple of weeks on this how this goes.

I get more even growth under the cob fixtures, but these light fixtures are much larger in size so the light spreads more evenly. Ideally when I start to replace lights, i would look at doing 4 - 550 watt lights (quantum or cmh) on each 3x12 table As it stands now i don't they 3 per table will do it.

I noticed that the Vero and lower end getian cobs don't seem to be much different, the plants look the same, so if i went all cobs, not sure i could justify spending the extra money on the Veros. I just don't see a huge difference. At least not enough not spend $20 extra per cob.

As a side note, my quantum fixture replaced a bridelux 4 foot rigid strip light fixture, (10 strips running about 600 watts total) which I absolutely hated, I will never grow under that crap again, my plants looked awful, they were all lime green and sickly looking.

Honestly, i really like the quantum fixture, its running on one of the big quad heat sinks, it looks really nice, and it produces great light. I think my mixed spectrum approach here might have some merit, or maybe i'm a loon, hard to say. The plants under it have exploded in size, They just look really good.

I have noticed that the plants under the cobs are more consistent in size and mass. While the plants under the QB and CMH are more random. This is likely attributed to the fact i only have 1 of each of those lights and they are not in a tent. I would like to make a full table of QBs. Anyone have thoughts on how many quad boards i would need on a 3x12 table? Or would 1x2 be better options? The plants under the qb and cmh and hardier looking.

Another Godfather OG ( X confidential ) -

Quantum Light 288 watt ( 3000k 90cri )
QB 304 3500k ( seedling / veg / flower supplemental )
2 gallon pot
Peat mix
Dr. Earth nutes ( liquid solution and Seaweed Solution)
1 tsp ( capful ) per gallon
Tap water
6.5 ph ( ph down ) water and mix
Optic Foliar Overgrow ( early veg / veg )

This is a very " loud " plant ..... Like grease , mixed with gym sock.
2 gallon is by choice as I can run as many different ones in my little grow area.
If had the room than I would do things proper but for the space I use I get a lot of bud for myself. Keeping jars in rotation allows cut and jar ready strains to properly cure as I don't have to touch them. And can consume the ones from a month or two earlier.

Did some LST on her to shape it , and some early defol to get the colas " opened " .

Next time a bigger pot.

I'm growing habaneros this year along with my herb. That pepper plant is huge man.

Hey Now!

This is 10 Greenpoint Bodega Bubblegums from seed in solo cups of coco. I have 5 cups in each 5g bubble bucket. They are about 4 weeks from cracking root.

Four QB 288 and a HLG-480H-C2100B on a Slate 6 with the dimmer cranked up. They just got their first set of 12/12 today for sexing. I'll check back in on them on Sunday.

you the one that cleaned out GreenGenes 600H's? I had my eye on 4 of them, got my cash together, and BOOM, they were gone, lol.. $120 a piece, smh, a steal..

So literally any configuration would be ok so long as one board gets driver positive and second board gets driver negative, and then a positive from one board is connected to a negative on a second board? I put together one frame, but I don't like my wiring setup and want to switch things around a bit without messing anything up. This is for a 4xqb288 setup with 2 drivers.

Looking at the HLG diagram for 2 boards in series, could I use both negative connectors on the top board and both positive connectors on the bottom board? I'd post a pic but i can't seem to atm.

Also, what's the proper way to get the wires out of the board connectors without damaging anything? The plastic doesn't seem like it would take too much to break if I do it wrong.

Use a paperclip. There is a little indentation in the tab that locks the wire in, just push down on the tab and the wire will come out.

Yeah, it will be easier to just go out and get some small sheet metal screws and drill out pilot holes for them.

pilot-hole drill-bit size will depend on the size of your sheet-metal screw.

size-4 screw should have a pilot-hole drill size of 3/32 inches
size 6, 7/64 inches
size 8, 1/8 inches
size 10, 9/64 inches

I wouldn't go any larger then a 10, and that may even be too big.

Drill the pilot holes and put a screws into it, then back the screws out and put the board in place and put new screws into the holes.

Or you can ask Robin the size screws he sends with the boards and buy a tap and bit for them. But i think its a lot easier and cheaper to use sheet metal screws.
