mk, well, this has been a long thread, the thing is, all religions are the same and all are correct, untill human influence interviens and uses this power of faith to theyre selfish advantage.
every single religion that has ever been created is saying the same thing, in different ways, every religion is just the story of creation and afterlife, first meant to comfort those who were curious, then changed into something to fear, something that can controll masses, move nations and cause more wars than any other reasoning for wars in the history of man put together. more people have died just trying to prove that theyre vertion of Harry Potter was better...
people need to realize now more than ever that the world didnt used to be so small, when you saw someone of a different race in jesus' day, with theyre strange looks and languages, let alone theyre bizzar religions, they were alien to them. theyre ways were "wrong". now you could take what you know about your religion and compair it to any other religion and you will see simmilarities, to understand other religions enough to understand them as much as yours you would have to put as much time into it, since i doubt any of us have put equal time into multiple religions from different regions, just watch documentary type shows full of people who have. anything ive heard on documentaries has made more sence to me than anything i ever heard being fourced to go to church 2 times a week for 17 years...
but when it comes right down to it, religion is still meant to comfort those who do not or canot understand things in a logical way, so whatever helps you sleap at night and feel comfortable about your life and how you live it is what you should stick to, you should just actualy know and understand it befor you decide to pay up 10% of your yearly income to the church because they say god needs it...

right buddy... you dont know my mom... that was a 3 year battle i have yet to make progress in. she tried to keep me and my gf (now together for 5 years) apart because she is athiest. but she was a strait A student and one of the top of my class. not even a missed day on her record... guess still too much of a bad influence...
