WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is confusing his father and grandfather when it comes to his German ancestry.
Meeting Tuesday with NATO’s secretary general, Trump reached back into his family history — and missed — as he made the point that Germany should be spending more on its own military budget, to relieve pressure on NATO partners.
“I have great respect for Angela, and I have great respect for the country,” he said, referring to German Chancellor Angela Merkel. “My father is German, right, was German, and born in a very wonderful place in Germany, and so I have a great feeling for Germany, but they’re not paying what they should be paying.”

The US needs a modern young president with fresh insights and scientific literacy & values... like J F Kennedy was in 1960s.
Why is every US presidential candidate age 70+? There are costly consequences to picking very old leaders who grew up in a totally different era. They hold outdated values and morals that no longer correspond to the populace they govern. They are the rifts that divide the populace rather than unite them. They are outdated on scientific advances and outdated on advances in human morality (gay marriage, weed, etc.). These are the leaders who provide direction for the country, and if that direction is backwards, then the country will be moving backwards, as is US today.

Anyway if your point is that Boomers haven't mentored the youth of today to prepare them for leadership, you are right. Above all you say, we need to get Trump out of the WH and Democrats in control of both houses in Congress.

Ive had a lot of science, math and economics professors that were 70+ and they are still extremely sharp mentally.
Also there is only so much a President can do, it is easy to see the limits of their power with Trump trying like hell to treat his position like a would be dictator. The science and societal changes come from the Congress up through the Senate before the President signs them into law. So the change is going to still happen, as long as people trust that we have a wise enough leader to trust them with the House and Senate, which luckily Biden is and has (if you don't just fall into the trap of watching edited soundbites instead of full speeches) shown to be over a long career in public office.
