Does PH affect EC?

if it’s good
That's the ticket right there. Even some "good" premix soils are too low of a PH for my usage, without adding amendment to further the buffering. I've had some FF soils, tested with a bluelab soil probe, measure 5.3 out of the bag. Most of the time its above 6, but it can readily drop, too low, too fast, if not cared for properly...…easy to knock that outta whack.

If you get running in that bizzare nowhere land, in between a living soil, and "needing" to feed mixed nutrients, the actual PH of the media is difficult to maintain from my experience....

When using the powdered GH PH up, I found the EC would increase a bit, sorta factor that in while mixing... I always considered that part of my total EC....dunno if that's "right" but it keeps the ladies from freakin' out...

I run three rooms all soil I build and use my 200ish ppm well water. Many many grows this way. In soil unless your using subpar soil or crazy out of control water ph isn’t even a thought.
I have a well close by and thought I would try to grow using it. I lost a green crack because of it. After just a few days the water had a bad smell and looked gross. I don't know what the smell was but it wasn't good. Water temp was always below 70F and I didn't add anything else but nutes.

Funny thing is now I don't drink that well water, not after that smell...but see people filling their bottles with it and saying 'oh its good water' ... if they only knew

I think theres some issues with that well lol mine I had drilled and is plumbed to my house like most northern Michigan homes. I get it tested year to year as well.

Everyone just talking about themself.

the answear is that standard is that nutes will lower your ph

long story short I was battling with deficiency’s due to ph lockout while using PH water drops, decided to invest in a solid PH pen and realized how far off and inaccurate the drops were, plants are bouncing back with lush green new growth which got me thinking about getting more accurate feedings. Thinking ahead does PH up/down affect the EC? Say I’m feeding @ 1.2 EC but the ph of the nutrient solution is 5.5, would adding PH up or down also increase EC?
The product is designed to hardly affect PPM. but come on - I had a pool and the drops I used worked fine then, and I used them for cannabis too.... they work fine now as well :P

Oh? I've tested this and I don't see that nutrients lower pH at all in a deep water culture or even soil for that matter. Coco apparently has the ability to buffer pH by just adding nutrients. And who cares about what direction the thread is going as long as the OP got his question answered? By the way...almost didn't understand what you wrote. So what's worse? Forums are about sharing knowledge...that's the whole point.
