Done with momma plant can I trim her down and turn into flower stage just wondering what to expect after a few weeks of flower timers she's about a year and a half old if I trim tonight can I switch to flower time or too much shock?

I ALWAYS send my mommas off in smoke.
I always grow them out one last time, and put a few buds away for long term storage.
(it's really about the room you have in your budding chamber)

But just out of curiosity, why would you keep a plant that long?

That may seem like I'm criticizing.
I am not, just curious.
I take a plant out of the veg room, put it in the grow room and take a clone.
The clone becomes the new momma.
It sits in the veg tent until I want to use it, then it goes in the bloom room and I take a new clone...
ad infinitum

I don't know it's a really long story but lss...I found a seed in a botanist brand dispo jar but can't recall what strain...however after growing seed she grew into this deep green crazy trics so I cloned her and couldn't let her go giving several away now I want to let flower and see what happens nothing to lose

Half of my keepers were unplanned.
Preach! :)

Holy f that's what I think mine will do just didn't know if there was an expiration
When my moms start getting a woody looking stalk after 6 or 8 months, I have a friend that takes them and finishes them. That's his tent. He's got two 4x4's. Each is always populated with an old mom.

He's really good at reviving them by trimming them way back, washing off as much of the soil as possible (I put them in FFOF), then transplanting them into a 5gal container of coco/perlite. He gives them TLC for a few weeks and trains them out with some fresh growth. The end results are usually pretty good. That one in the pic produced 10oz of top buds and a few bags of larf and sugar leaf trim.

So I think if I trim mine down tonight can I flower her in a couple days
The plant in the picture was transplanted, trimmed back, and then select new growth was trained out on trellis net for around 3 or 4 weeks before flipping.

I retired 3 white widow mothers last winter. Flowered them out in the flower tent. Cut the colas off and reveged outside this past spring and will be harvesting the final yield in October.

I threw a mother into my last cycle after finding a cluster of males and needing to fill up the canopy. It was a little over a week behind the other plants, but it developed buds super fast and caught up to the other plants in like a week.

A cannabis plant can live up to 10 years in veg and can be flowered numerous times.
