So you're going to use soil from a pepper plant to plant your 'crap' seeds in? You're better off getting a small bag of potting soil and starting there. The pepper plant's been using up the nutrients in the soil, and who knows what's been used up by now. It could even have pests in it...

If your bag seed was from decent weed, you might be surprised what you'll find when your done. If it was crap weed it could just end up being time wasted.

What's baking at 150*f for an hour, the soil from the pepper plant?

Go for it. If the soil was composted for edibles it should be good for one good run of weed. Just start out easy on the nutes. And yes, heat treat the soil to kill anything harmful.

I don't know how crappy the weed was u got the seeds from, but I grew out four plants last year that turned out great, and i got the seeds out of some of the nastiest commercial brick weed u could imagine! I mean brown ugly weed. I ordered some genetics for my first indoor grow, but those seeds I pulled out of that nasty weed turned into some amazingly strong gunji. Only complaint I have about it is the buds were super a-i-r-y. All I'm saying it's how you maintain the plants while their growing I'm sure good genetics help but I'm living proof you don't need expensive seeds to end up with great product, The stuff turned out so well that I question the whole seed game, and whether the seeds they sell us are as important as the people selling them say they are. I did order seeds for my first indoor grow though.

If anyone else knows how to upload pics by sending them to an email let me know that would be awesome because I plan on taking day by day pics for reference later on and does heat treating soil eliminate any nuits it may have in it?

No it won't hurt the soil. When the spagnum at the peat moss bog is bailed it goes through a giant drier that heat treats and gets rid of bugs and stuff before it's bailed. The compost plant has to ensure and record that the temp of the compost has reached the correct temp before it's bagged.etc

Cooking the soil at 150? Not smart. You'll be killing the soils beneficial bacteria and microorganisms as well.

I have nutes but wouldn't that be the same case as when a processing plant heat treats their soil before they bag it?

Recently I have been cloning successfully with a 23 watt daylight CFL. For a seedling(s) I would go with three or four of those 23's. I tried 40w CFL and the seedlings stretched a bit more than I liked.
