How would it cost tax payers? The reason most doctors charge for this service is because their time spent signing the mmar and other mmar related visits are not covered by Health Canada, so they are receiving NO government finding for your visits relating to MMAR, I don't see any problem with a Doctor charging money for something like this, for the simple reason he's not getting paid elsewhere to do his JOB, which MANY purely government paid Doctors fail to do on a daily basis. Not to mention, compared to some of the other Doctors who have taken this method of payment, he charged a reasonable fee, $400 for skype session, $250 for in person session, and $250 renewal every year thereafter, for something that treats MANY conditions, now, if you consider a pill pushing doctor, who gets paid by the govt. for each of your visits, and then also get kickbacks for each pill they prescribe, I PROMISE you that a doctor with patients who have any condition otherwise treated with cannabis that push pills, are earning more than $400 a year from each patient from both govt. visit kickback, AND the pill prescription Kickback.
So who's more in the wrong here, someone who charges less than you would otherwise spend on prescription meds per year, who in turn gives you the ability to grow your own medicine, thus reducing costs even further. or the doctor who says "No, I won't sign, but here, take these pills that have KNOWN side effects and have caused death on at least 1 occasion".
Who's worse here? The man who doesn't effect Tax Payers dollars AT ALL? Or the man who earns tax payers dollars, and refuses to listen to the tax payers themselves by consistently refusing MMAR applications and instead trying to push pills.
