this is my first successful indoor crop and i had to recently chop a hermie, but it still has a fairly nice 4-5grams, so i have it hanging in a dry dark place, is that all i really need to do, for 5 days or so, or what. i have the females to harvest in a few weeks, so i can't do it in the grow room. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hang it upside down for 3-5 days. You should be able to snap the branches. Then do any final trimming and put it in a jar. Open the jar two or three times a day and take your buds out. They shoud feel moist when you take them out of the jar. Do this for about 5 - 7 days. It should be cured by then.

try to dry your buds in the darkness, and take the buds out for about 5 minutes letting some of the moisture naturally come out of the bud then put them back in, check your ganja frequently in the jars.

i guess your just squeakin by with that method., check your recylce bin for a jar with a good lid, clean it out good and make sure its sterile and use that. it will be much less susceptible to mold this way. take your buds out and check them as usual of course. :)

alright, ill look for a jar, but they have been curing for 4 days now, so should i begin to let them dry, and how should i do that?, i left the larger nugs on the stem, but the small ones i chopped up aren't on stems, so whats a decent way to dry them (with out hanging).

hey dude what I did with the lil samples I cut off my plant is I just hung it for 24 hours, took it down checked it out manicured the lil stems and leaves, hung it back up... another 24 hours I took it down and manicured a lil more, by now the buds semi dry, I usually put the buds into glass jars in day time and leave them out on some newspaper in the nighttime, that way the warmth is during the day and the coolness is at night

marihuana is supposed to "cure" for 30 days after you pick it, this is to appreciate the full flavour you can get out of the smoke. using this method gives you quick smoke without quickly drying it, which will only give you a headache.

in my opinion putting weed on a radiator or in the stove is such a waste of your hard earned harvest :hump:

start curing your buds the way 20 people told you to.
a beer bottle with a homemade cap would be better to cure bud in than a plastic bag. plastic holds in moisture. if the bud has mold dont smoke it. it isnt worth going to the hospital for.

The thing about curing is that there is no right way or wrong way. The object is to dry the buds as slowly as possible. You're actually not trying to dry your buds, you're trying to keep the moisture in them for as long as you can without letting them rot or mold. The actual best way to cure is to put your buds in a jar and put them in the freezer. Take them out once a day for about an hour and dry any moisture in the jar. Do this for at least thirty days.

But what you need to remember is that you only need to cure until the bud is good enough for your standards. Does smell good? How does it break up? Does it crumble or do you have to pull it apart? How does it burn? Can you keep it lit in a joint? How does it taste? How is the high? These are all questions that you need to ask yourself when testing your finished product. If you can smoke and enjoy your buds, then you did a fine job of curing.

Hang in dark cool room for 5-7 days, then put the buds in a brown paper bag for 1 day and then put the buds in glass mason jars for 1-2 weeks minimum opening them 3-4 times daily and shifting buds around. the longer the remain in the mason jars the better. the whole process should be done in a dark cool room.

So there should still be moisture after they've dried, and you put them in jars? I guess im wondering when to put in the jars....when the stems "snap"? if they are to dry or not dried enough when you put them in jars, is this a problem?

has anyone else tried curing in the freezer? i think i'll give it a shot, although you'd think some humidity might get in there because of the humid freezer.
