So I have:
-600 watt cool tube
-4" 135 CFM Centrifugal
-2x 250 Watt Big Boy CFL
-Pumps, Timers, etc
-A/C wired for 220 and only gets used on hot days.

Edison just raised our rates to $0.32/ kwh and I am paying $290 this month. I realize that this is probably a really low number considering it is a small grow. So to help myself feel better I want know what some of you guys paying and what you have running for your systems.

Here is a little graph I made when my rates were lower:

If ya google my name schwagstock, you will get a very good idea the round abouts I am.;) But often times electric companys (NOT all) but some will offer a deal, a (time of day meter?) I think its called which allows you to pay more in electric in the day but from a set time at night I believe around 11-9 am or something like that you get a substantial decrease in the bill. It all depends who ya got and where ya live I imagine though as far as price would go, but i topple on the thousands of kw/h per month and because its all run on that time schedule pretty much it costs me 100 bucksish, the majority of the cost comes from the day use which is just laundry, cooking, heat or ac for the home and regular appliance electric. I was quite shocked when I moved and got hit with the first electric bill, I thought for once I can pay and keep ahead of them always!!! Of course I also decreased price very very reasonably in return to all my patients to help them. (I'm not in this for money, but rather to keep genetic heritage alive in plants/ create genetics that are stable and affordable.) Sorry bit vaped up and lookn like im a ramblin man...

In the UK for 23kwh of total usage per day, which includes my everyday electric I'm paying around £112 per month.

I run a 400w setup with 6" exhaust fan.

What's that about in USD about $180?? Or somewhere there abouts. In the uk we don't use home AC's as they are just too damn expensive and we don't really get the weather to need them.

$0.095 per KwH. denver area.
:wall:

Man screw California. Everything is going up... I got an email from edison the other day saying my electricity bill is way higher than last year to date. Yeah, you raised my rates by 10 cents A-Holes!

3 or 4 years ago I was paying around $0.14/ kwh. It has more than doubled since then. $0.32

Are you on Solar or anything? Or is that just standard?

We have tier systems now and I think that is why I am so high. I am tier 4 where I was only tier 2 before 2010.

Yeah almost $190 here.

Yeah I remember that huge heat wave you guys got a few years back. This is when I lived in Vegas. People were dying out there with +90F (~32C) temps and I didn't understand since Vegas is always +110F (~43C) in the summer. However in Vegas you go from your a/c house to your a/c car to, hopefully, your a/c job (Brutal to be in construction there). But yeah its because no one out there had a/c units.

Wow, you really have a high rate. I though my rate was high at $0.1479/kW, but apparently I was wrong. If I move just a couple miles to the next provider, it is $0.102.

We do have off peak billing here, but you have to sign up for it. The rate drops to $0.07 at night, but goes UP during the day to something over $0.20. My over all costs would remain about the same.

Keep going on man.. Id love to learn all that.. I just received a OG Pkripper clone back in march.. Very good strain.. But seems to be on its way out here.. i did see a claim in cali some one breeding it. But I'm sure it cannot be the same decade old OG from the midwest... what is your take on that

They are actually quite inefficient brother.. Thats 500w of CFL light which uses the same amount of power as 500w of HPS/LED?MH but doesn't provide the plants with nearly as much. I have a couple 105w CFLs I don't use anymore because I am able to better light my tent with about 100w of quality LED..

Also, from what I understand a larger quantity of smaller watt cfls is more efficient than the "big boy" cfls for what it's worth..

Good luck!
