Keep going on man.. Id love to learn all that.. I just received a OG Pkripper clone back in march.. Very good strain.. But seems to be on its way out here.. i did see a claim in cali some one breeding it. But I'm sure it cannot be the same decade old OG from the midwest... what is your take on that
My take is that id love to take that cut from you:lol:haha personally I would not be the least bit surprised at all if it was the original to be honest. It was just about 5 years ago and I would grab bags of it and knew and old gentleman farmer growing it, so I know its around the midwest just rare. I know I have two strains in my library I have personally kept around for ten years now strong, and they wont be leaving anytime soon at all...:eyesmoke:Some gems stick to people and just cant be left, for me theres some strains I find occasionally that become major part of my life and memories, just smelling it will bring back certain times etc and it has value to it that I just cant get rid of for that fact/the rarity of it.

We have smart meters now from the electric Co. You can see what you use for juice every hr. of the day by going online. If you could do this it would help narrow down whats sucking the most juice. My guess is the AC...

Wow I knew Cali was high but over .30/kWh is outrageous. I got out of LA before the cost of living skyrocketed... Michigan is rather affordable.

0.069 / kWh
When you guys w the cheapest prices are determining your cost/kWh are you adding the second highest number on your itemized bill for a true total?

next month I believe the summer rate increase kicks in at about 25% higher until fall. Seen a lot of regular home medical gardens doing 3000 - 5000 kwh/mo.

Elec energy power supply: .08379/kWh
Elec delivery distribution: .0479/kWh

* Total 0.13

Here's an eye opener for you boys across the water in the USA.

Here in the UK electricity companies say the average UK home should use around 3300kwh of electricity. PER FUCKING YEAR!!!!

I use 3x that with my everyday usage and 400w grow.

Its absolutely outrageous. Lol.

I used 1200 kwh last month, lol. So do you have a wood burning furnace? No Tv or appliances?

Wholly crap, glad I'm in Canada, a lot of you pay outrageous amounts in comparison to my measly .07/KWhr (off-hours), running somewhere between 600-800W on different cycles costs me $40-$50/month, no complaints here in comparison...

I use around 8600kwh.

47" TV, electric cooker, fridge freezer blah blah blah.

Wife and 2 kids so washing machine is constantly going.

Many many people though in the uk have turned to log burners for heat instead of a conventional gas or electric fire.

Also don't forget we don't need home AC in the uk either.

it does fluctuate they change plans from time to time previously i was on a dual rate

now its a single rate of £0.13 per kWh ($0.22) in yank money, there is a £1.38 (standing charge) added each week
this is hardly anything

the price of electricity over the last 20 years has doubled, when i started growing it was £0.06 kWh

i currently buy my electric from a gas company (British gas)
and buy gas from an electric company (southern electric)
strangely it works out cheaper this way lol

I run 2- 400 watt lights and a handful of CFL's in the nursery. I'm usually right around $100 a month thats it. We are very careful about conserving electricity everywhere else.

Cost for comparison: 7.78 cents KWH

I got 3 rooms going - a 75W bulb in the dome room, a 400W HPS for vegging and a 1000W HPS for flowering. It's a perpetual grow so my lights are never off for very long. Also, I use a 20-inch box fan and an overhead ceiling fan for 3-4 months in the warmer weather. Growing juice costs me from $75-125 month. BigSteve.

P.S. -- MH bulbs run much hotter than the same size HPS bulbs. Something to consider and the reason I mothballed both my MH set-ups. BigSteve.
I have always heard the opposite, and in my rooms the hps always runs 3 degrees hotter then the veg room...maybe someone can enlighten me, this is news to me.
