alright so i was chillin at my boys the other day sampling the new product and the most unfortunate event happened. high as hell off this pg-crack (purple kush x green crack) i stood up to bounce and knocked over his bong :(....so yea 9mill glass did nothing for this one, the bong hit right on the bowl piece and snapped the stem n bowl. Later he calls me and tells me theres a small crack leaking water, so yea i broke my boys bong, after years of blazing this is my first broken piece that i ever broke. I felt bad and offered to buy him something. now this bong wasnt too crazy but it was a decent 9mill 1.5footer, but a no name. i went to the local head shop to cop him a new bong, but was kinda under funded (anything comparable was like 150+). instead of a bong (bc he still has like 4) i got him this sick zong steam roller. looks sick and like its a lung killer. thick glass and it sits on a table nicely and was only 75$. So if you had bongs to spare and someone broke one of them would you be ok with this peace offering?? zong is about 1.2+ w/ bends. saw fdd had one and he said they were bomb

That is not a piece I find attractive nor would I want it, but maybe his tastes are different. I think it's cool that you are taking responsibility to a point.
 
what i would of done is asked how much the bong is worth and gave him the money, then he could of got what ever he wanted.
 
Just wait till you get old. I buy glass about once a month. My kid won't even let me touch his stuff.
 
offer it to him and see.........you are at least standing up to your mistake.....if he is happy cool ....if he says more then work with him.............if he is a good friend he will understand shit happens and you are maning up to it..........I dont see a major problem.......but yea I would of asked him first ...not everyone has the same taste in bongs.........but you are trying and that will keep him happy.
 
yea im assuming he will love it being ive seen every kinda piece at his crib except a nice steam roller. plus i saved myself some $$. looks real nice on the table too.
 
hell if it was me I trade out some bud if you broke my pipe if you had some good shit..........Im easy to get along with.....hey when I have ppl over and we fucked up shit happens.............if you want to be safe never invite anyone over and break the shit by yourself LOL
 
if he isn't happy with that zong, then you can always throw him some more bud to make up for the price difference. I have a buddy who has a zong, and i love using that thing. Hits like a train. If he is your good friend, he will at least understand you made an attempt to make it right.

I had a feeling that was what you were after when I saw the subject of this thread. You admit it was your fault, but when it comes time to pay up, you are looking to be cheap about it. If I was your friend, I wouldn't be too pleased with a Zong worth $70-$80 when my $150 bong was broken by someone who jumped up to 'bounce', especially if I knew your intent was to 'save yourself some $$'.

Take the Zong back or keep it for yourself, as you bought it more for you than for him. Offer him $150 and see what he says. If you don't have it all at once, make payments. This isn't a time to 'save yourself some money'. It's time to right a fuck up.
 
Ya my brother accidently broke my first bong too, he saved money and on my birthday he surprised me with the exact same bong.
I never expected him to replace it because it was an accident, but hey he's just that kind of person.
I would have waited and replaced it with the same one
 
gave the steam roller to my boy the other day, dude loves it. hits like a beast, if you milk it your donzo. its a true one hitter quitter. Ill support the steam roller, if anyone wants to cop one like this, zong did it good
 
I'd be syked. But I love anything by Zong. That shit stands the test man. nearly 2 foot drop onto thin carpet for a 1.5 foot Zong and it comes out perfectly fine.
